AVR show 7.1 light up

That's what I meant, only few titles, mostly old release. Try Pan's Labyrinth, Shoot 'Em Up, Rush Hour 3, etc, only 5.1 channels light up.

So far this are the only ones that I know that doesn't map the 7.1 channels correctly.

New Line

Pan's Labyrinth
Rush Hour 3
Shoot em Up
HairSpray

Lionsgate

The Condemned

Only Celine Dion blew me far far away *again* with its Dobly TrueHD 5.1 nod.gif

Yeah, that's the only Dolby TrueHD that the bitrate reaches 10Mbps. Neve even seen a DTS-HD MA track that reach that high bitrate.

Technically, is DTS-HD MA suppose to sound better than Dolby TrueHD regardless of bitrate due to different method used in the audio codec.
*
Technically, yes. But higher bitrate should also have more details, technically. tongue.gif

It also depends on how the track was edited and mixed by the sound engineers. There are some Dolby TrueHD tracks that are not up to my expectation, and the same also to DTS-HD MA, which on Short Circuit is just an insult to DTS fans. It's not bad, but considering it's DTS-HD MA, it should've much, much been better.

All lossless ma... Just that each have their own encoding method... To me, when it's lossless, it mostly depends on the movie itself. biggrin.gif

Really ar? Got link?

New firmware is it? Guess no software yet to crack. So don't worry ma, the current version is the only way now in Malaysia. My friend checked the price for new 8GB iPhone, the price up already, RM2150. So it's got great value now.

Sorry OT, anyway, how to put the digital copy from blu-ray into the iPhone ar? How is it actually, is the copy in the BD itself, or they provide a different disc?

Tun Mega, can we share to more than one PC? I don't have any BD with digital copy, but my friend has Juno. I'm thinking to "borrow" his digital copy. whistling.gif

**OT**

It is real. July 11, check here:

http://www.apple.com/iphone/

Got GPS, Microsoft Exchange, but that's the new firmware, when it's crack, the current iPhone can have too.

$199 only? shocking.gif ohmy.gif

3 bds in this shipment

Oh my. Sorry to hear about this. Sometimes Amazon put the total value in your order to each shipment. So if your total order value is $600, each box will display the same $600, even when there are only 3 BDs inside. Me also don't understand why Amazon do this sometimes. hmm.gif

I say sometimes, because my recent order, they split the value. So total in each box didn't exceed RM500.

I guess you have to wait for a call from DHL tomorrow morning. Not necessarily tax will impose on you, sometimes they will just ask you to go there and sign a piece of paper and that's it. Good luck bro.

Warner to Focus on Blu-ray over Theatrial Releases

President and CEO of Time Warner Inc, Jeff Bewkes, commented that his studio would release fewer theatrical film and begin to focus more on building wider consumer adoption of Blu-ray. While the movie studio has seen success, the profits being generated by its home media arm have trumped all box office take.

Warner Brothers is already a leader in Blu-ray releases, has released more classic films than any other studio. Their increased support of Blu-ray should hopefully not only increase the number of quality Blu-ray titles on the market, but also decrease the number of theatrical bombs (and their eventual Blu-ray releases) from tainting movie-goers minds.

Singulus: Blu-ray Adoption Faster than DVD

German optical disc equipment manufacturer Singulus has revealed that, during the first year of dual-layer technology, Blu-ray orders have surpassed that of DVD. For the year after dual-layer DVDs were introduced, Singulus filled orders for 17 machines. One year after dual-layer Blu-rays were released, they are reporting 21 orders.

Singulus feels that this is a clear indication that the Blu-ray format is being adopted faster than DVD during the same period in its life-cycle. As more companies adopt the format, more discs will be put on the market for consumers.

Everyone involved hopes that with the ever-increasing amount of content, more and more consumers will adopt the high definition format.

Not necessarily. We could get a surprise announcement anytime. Spielberg is a strong blu-ray supporter. Two of his non-Paramount/Universal movies already released even before the format war was over. "Close Encounters" was released with 2 lossless tracks, DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD. thumbup.gif
