It can't be too long until rockstar release a patch. There's too many people being affected by the crashing for them to ignore it.

I guess it's good that we all have to play single-player first; at least we all have a chance to learn the city. I'm still on the first island anyway...

I've asked my housemate who plays the game 4-5hrs a day whether he encountered any freezing or not but he said none so far. I rarely play because of my upcoming exam next week

Maybe you guys didnt have a constant stress test on the machine like running F@H for a straight year

is there any other cases like me where lens dying after playing gta IV? OMG... there goes my PS3. wonder how am i gonna fix this. is there any shop that provide lens repair?

You shouldnt have restarted the ps3 when installing. The ps3 will give an error code if it fails. A lot of shops provide lense replacement e.g Bernard from Gamers Solution

well, i've played more then 5 hours and i have no problem so far :/, did any1 notice that their rank online was rerolled, i'm almost lvl 3 yesterday and when i played today my rank was lvl 1 :/.. wtf

juz now played wif eikan.. have lotsa fun.. but after finish playing deal breaker my GTA hang..zzz

prob'ly now majority of GTA IV players got their copy n started their MP. PSN couldn't take it n down n freeze u GTA IV online players

haha great game, we test most all mode the deal breaker it great to earn money/level.
if your ps3 hang, its due to PSN 'online' mechanism

Nexy time before u load gta4, sign off psn. and load the game. should be ok. u can login psn whenever u try to connect to gta4 mp.
with luck u wont get freeze. else soft restart.
