My foray into Liberty City last night proved to be the best gaming experience I've had for 2008. Sure I was pretty skeptical at first upon hearing the ridiculously lavish praises the reviewers gave this but I can certainly see the reason for their enthusiasm. Ok first the pet peeves:

1. I don't know if it's just my monitor, but the pixels seem to be a lot more prominent than the trailers I've watched for the game. A little unsettling at first, but I got used to it and it's never a reason to hate the game.

2. Online multiplayer has been inaccessible out of the umpteen times I tried.

Ok those things aside, it's practically just awesome-sauce all the way through. My jaw literally DROPPED when I saw a police car drove pass me and the driver dropped the coffee cup onto the road. I pulled out my gun and shot the coffee cup and it bounced off, responding to the momentum caused by the bullet.

It's the little details that just astounds me. I bought this nifty russian hat and when I got run down ..... MY HAT GOT KNOCKED OFF! can't pick it up though.

One other time I was speeding really really fast and slammed sideways into concrete wall really hard until my police car was resting at an angle to the wall, making my car tilt sideways, Poor niko was thrown out the driver's left seat window onto the pavement and went UNDER THE WHEEL of the police car. Instantly died.

You don't clip through passenger doors anymore, it blocks your movement.

I LOL'd hard when I died fighting a pedestrian but in the seconds before I blacked out the police came and he shouted, "HEY I'm ON TV!!!"

FUN TIP! Want a police car fast? I discovered this myself. (really REALLY feels awesome when u discover little things like this) bring up your phone and dial 911. Press 1 for police, Within seconds a police car came and when he found nothing he said, "f***ing prank callers! ". I crept up his back, got into the driver's seat and sped away. 1 star, easy to evade.
