i think u shoulden watch videos and use it to judge wat guitar u wanna buy.. go to shop test.. then ask here if u cant decide.. 1.5k budget..imo i think u stick with ur pacifica and save up More...like sweet tooth's budget should do the job of a real upgrade...

Yea, save up some more, that budget can only get you a beginner/intermediate guitar. 2.5k would be the best starting off point. And if you solo a lot, i don't think the Epi LP would suit you because it has a chunky-ish neck, 22 frets and hard upper register access.

If I were you i'll go for something that lets me easy access to higher frets.

Fender is better than LP for this i think, but Ibanez is the best..

I love the rgr321ex and it's 24 frets.

You sure you want an LP?They're not very 'shreddy'.I find their necks damn thick and it's like impossible to reach the higher frets. But I think Zakk Wylde's is pretty 'shreddable'.

Zakk Wylde's neck is as thick as a baseball bat......
But the epi's version is slightly slimmer then the full Gibson one according to Everdying.
