No, it's 6 mth probation. Need to work on shf too. Only serve cust from M'sia & Spore. But they do have shf allw & trans allw if use own car. They deal with deposit acct, cc, loan, mortgage. I went interview 3 mths back but unsuccessful & I got offer fr HSBC instead on the foll week.

hsbc customer service the highest you can get is rm1.8k basic. + allowance maximum around 2k only. OCBC you can get rm2.2k-2.6k income. My friend work for a year+ in ocbc salary is already around rm3k+.

It's true OCBC pay ways higher, even other local bank pay higher than hsbc but if you set 'money' the first priority, then ocbc is the one you're looking for. But if you set 'career advancement' is the first priority then I believe hsbc is a good place as within a yr, you may consider lateral movement, sitting for the exam, got increment and the best is the cert certified from UK. That's what I heard fr the interviewer when I'm asking the benefits the co may offer.
I'm not sure ocbc offer those benefits for staff as I went interview at ocbc the last 2 mth and the pay real attractive, $500 allw and $200 trans allw and sal will increase to RM2250 (after confirmation) +RM500+RM200 (almost RM3000).
