yeah mine was R9K009 too.. i used Swiss Manager and sometimes when there's already a file with the same name in a folder, and use Swiis manager to paste.. it will prompt whether to replace, i click yes but it'll display 0 item pasted.

u guys copy and paste using swiss manager too?

i think i also dare not try already..well not exactly dare not.. too lazy.
*
Hmm, used the guide on the first page and Swiss Manager to get the WM3 in my P1i too notworthy.gif

But I did it carefully... when copying & pasting files I went through each folder manually and C & P the files individually (meaning I didn't overwrite the existing folders in the C:)... maybe too much caution used whistling.gif

aww i scratched my phone... the btm part there.. But not very serious la.. Still heartache abit haih...

I am using the original pouch. THe bad is it is very hard to take out when u wear jeans or cotton type pants becos of the friction of the material used. Maybe they design it for slack pants (executive user lolz)
*
I used the original pouch too... then one day my phone came out gooey and sticky around the sides rclxub.gif

Turns out the pouch is made from two pieces that are GLUED and sewn together... the glue must have became all melty in the hot weather and touched the phone's sides. Now using some chapalang pouch first until I find a nicer one blink.gif

Added on June 7, 2008, 1:02 pmApologies before hand if this topic has been covered elsewhere, but just to let other P1i users know that since the launch of the SE G900, some kind chap has ported the native "torchlight" and new "notes" function in it for use in the P1i!

So now finally I can use the torchlight on my phone without turning the camera on! Woot!

where to get the torchlight & extra notes function?  drool.gif
*
Found it at some other forum while googling (yeah, the stuff you find after you reach page 39++)... Not sure if it's okay to put the link to that site here? Anyway, I'll just upload the files here directly.

You need to apply the same system hack as if you're installing the Walkman 3.0 before you can copy the files over.

This thing got nothing to do with G900 note thingy.

Hmm actually I faced this sms problem before when I was using my old phone. Couldn't receive any calls or smses over a whole weekend (when everyone else could). Not sure if it was a telco or phone problem.... but that started me looking to get a new phone (finding excuse onni....).

No prizes for guessing which phone I ended up buying biggrin.gif
Anyway, installing the g900 notes app hasn't caused me to miss any smses yet (still receiving all those darn spam SMSes from the telco).

Erm, maybe you want to try describing the exact steps you took? It's kinda hard for people to seriously help you when they don't know where you got stuck blush.gif

Why you can't see those 2 folders yet?
You should have done System Hack before you proceed to WALKMAN 3.0.
The purpose to do System Hack is allow you view those folder which you normally cannot see.
*
Just to clarify on something I realised after installing the WM3, steps 1 to 10 are to allow the protected folders on phone's C:\ to be visible and accessible. Step 11 is the part where you actually add the WM3 into your phone.

If you need to install some other app like the g900 torch or notes, just repeat steps 4 to 10 again (cos I think the part where you can access the protected folders is temporary until AppTRK.exe is closed or phone restart or somethingamajig similar : ) and replace step 11 with whatever app it is you want to copy & paste into your phone.

Hope that helps? cool.gif

PS: Figured out that you need to restart the phone to use the WM3, but not for g900 notes and apps (all of which should appear in the Tools folder).

EDIT:

Private folders still accessible after AppTRK.exe closed and phone running for... 9 days ++

Yeah, you're missing the "Private" and "sys" folders. Maybe the system hack wasn't performed properly? Got the "candidate!" sign?

Glad to help smile.gif The guide on the 1st page is definitely sufficient to guide the installation of WM3 (I did it on mine, then showed to my friend who also did it on his P1i).

aside: yeah, it's a slow day at work...

Yeah normally if your mms get stuck in the outbox, it means your mms settings koyak a bit. Guess you need to reapply / redownload the mms settings from your telco cool2.gif Probably you can test after that by sending an mms to yourself (testing send & receive)?

Hm.. I was using Maxis 3G MMS for my internet browsing through 3G, send MMS. Its working fine thou. laugh.gif

Btw, anyone here uses P1i to connect to WLAN? I tried mine at the KFC branch nearby my house. Able to hooked the line (as if free acess) but i cant browse with Opera. Do any setting need to be done? The line quite weak as well. I might be one of the reason i cant surf. laugh.gif
*
I can connect to WLAN in my house and office. Initially at home I could connect but couldn't browse the net either. Somehow, turning OFF the "power saving feature" then stopped this problem. Later I read somewhere that this is a known issue when using with older routers. Or you could play with the threshold packet settings.

Didn't have to turn the power saving feature OFF when using my office WLAN tho.

Hope that helps. (Either that or KFC was using a g router)

Thanks for the tips man.. But then my house i was using LAN. Soon upgrade to WLAN. When that time then i try off the connection. laugh.gif Somehow i read from forum says needs to create a specific account in the WLAN setting in order to make the net can be browse.
*
Most of the time I've found it's better if you create a specific account for the WLAN network, cos that gives you more options to configure like WEP key and power saving.

But I've also been able to browse the net using the DefaultWifiAccount (I *think* what the phone does is, when you ask it to connect to a WLAN that you haven't defined before, it goes under DefaultWifiAccount). cool2.gif

Litmus paper.

(Really? my phone has litmus paper in it?)

Litmus paper is for acid / alkali detection. Can't for the life of me remember the one that can detect presence of water. rclxub.gif

Happened to me before also. My fix was to restart the phone (cos my colleague said "what? you left your phone on for 21 days without restarting?! restart only!!!", and it was good).

Yeah, I think that might be me who posted the reply (do correct me if I've got it wrong!). I've got the link to the site where I first found it on another computer; get it to you later. icon_rolleyes.gif

That torch sure came in handy the day after I installed it... try looking for loose wiring in the car engine compartment at night by the roadside. shocking.gif
