i saw the 9" eeepc at digital mall today with windowsXP, 12GB HDD & 1GB RAM at RM1.7k

& by the time u got yr own money there are so many more important things to consider apart from eeepc

just wondering, is the eeepc (even the celeron version) is good enough to run GBA emulator?

i think superman7 meant to say share your method, not share the CD . i'm eyeing for 901 myself. i think this model suits my requirement the best as a portable netbook

actually for most of us, since we are more familiar with XP (including familiar softwares) , we want all our PCs to be in XP. if u r happy with ubuntu, what it has & software support, then u can use ubuntu. if i get my eee pc, i'll use XP, then all those familiar programs like star office, firefox, VLC, picassa, then for games i just plan to use emulation software like the one for GBA & N64. i think that's about it..

i wish we can have 1GB/day considering movie files which are around 700MB

901 @ RM1699 is the one for me. still maintain the original size with better spec. i hope to get good deal (& got stock) during coming pc fair

you are so right jackdon. it's perfect travelling companion. small size, light, can watch movies & play emulation games. perfect for the family with kids. who cares about small keyboard, we are not going to type long reports on it

i saw he mentioned the same spec/price on msi wind thread, so my guess is he was refering to msi wind

i'd buy 901 at RM1500. no need to wait to drop further. if it continue to drop, i'd buy another set later, probably the bigger 1000 @ RM1500 also

Kclee2002, how's the performance of the windowsXP on 901? i presume this is the full XP version, so what is the balance of SSD space left? wondering is it better to reinstall as nlite or not, or wait for the linux instead..

so you get the full windowsXP CD as well?
have you installed MS office? i'd like to know the performance (ie any sluggishness running office)
