Hi all,

Any of you guys using the strings above? What are your comments on them? Do they last as long as they claim and how much is it per pack?

I use polywebs, and they've been with me for nearly a year without any signs of rust tongue.gif

it's about RM4x per pack.

I jsut swtiched from Daddarios to elixirs cos I find that my daddarios seem to tarnish pretty fast (a week or so sad.gif)

Just would like to hear from other long-standing users of elixirs smile.gif

I'm using the light gauge - 009s. I find that they are brighter than daddarios. And the tension is better on those strings.. esp on the wound ones. Snappier if there is a word for it.

My daddarios wound strings feels a little slack even new.

When you have a floyd guitar, I think it helps to have longer lasting strings.

At least you don't have to go thru the restringing process that often smile.gif. floyd owners would understand. smile.gif

hahha.... I thought I was the only one. It's the initial setup that's tricky, which I dread doing tongue.gif sometimes I end up paying the tech a bit extra to get a full restring done instead of doing it myself.

How much has it risen?

What do you mean by going hairy?

Do you guys you any other products for string care? I just wipe them down thoroughly after each session.

i think hairy means either the wound strings start coming off(like nylon strings?) or the rust builds up laugh.gif

I think if anybody's strings turn hairy, it would be time to swap them out tongue.gif

And I do'nt think it's just with elixirs, any other would strings would be possible too.

I tihnk he meant hairy, by the nano/poly coat starts to peel off where you usually pick.
I usually get that after a week of playing, doesn't really affect tone nor does it start to rust though.
