dfi sucks? if that's d case most of us here have had a bad taste.  laugh.gif

mind to tell which model u used b4?  hmm.gif

of all d x2, f3 is d best but u can hardly find 'em nowadays. 5k b.e are known to clock between 3.1~3.3GHz i reckon, but as usual batch plays a big role there.  smile.gif

i know for certain people it serves the best. but for me.. thats enough.. i used lp nf590sli b4. and i faced most of problems regarding the bios and boot... i thought after i flashed to new bios everything gets better but its worst.. and it ended at rma stores.. thats why i keep using this gilabyte although it doesnt served like dfi`s tweak

I've used 2 DFIs.
The 1st was a NF4 LP Ultra-D.
That board was a pain in the arse the first 2 months i got it.
However, after some tweaking, a lot of reading from forums, it works like a charm and i started falling in love with it.

My 2nd DFI is Ah_Khoo's ex DFI.
I can say, so far this is the easiest plug and play board i've used.
Plugged in everything, booted 3.2Ghz on 1st boot.
Very minor ram tweaking. If i have HPR i think no tweaking needed at all.
The board had been superbly stable as of today, i've never crashed even once running on 3.2Ghz...

So basically, it differs from Models. The LP 590 SLI seems to be a problematic one i heard. There were quite many issues with it.

Btw, if you want a nice proc, check out garage, Xixo's ex F3 is now on sale.
Better grab it fast, that should outperform any average BEs when it comes to OC.

It's slightly more expensive.
The current owner's expecting price is around RM250.
You can drop him your offer, the only reasonable offer i've seen up until now is RM200.

The LP590 was one board that i wanted so much, but did not get to own it.
I like the colour of the ram slots... tongue.gif

My current board has a combination of Yellow-Green, doesn't match AMD-ATI.

Well, DFIs are known to be boards that requires tweaking and a lot of trial and error before getting the perfect setting.
Once you get the setup properly, remember to save the bios and everytime after that, you can just load using Cmos reloaded and the thing will be kicking again.

The 1 thing i like most about my 790FX is where you can actually set a different booting up HTT and a running HTT.
So basically you will boot into post, then get stuck when it's loading windows if you clock it too far... tongue.gif

There is but X3 only so far.X4 got but BE Edition.

Evil depends on what usage but if multi tasking performance =Phenom 9550
Since NO ONE know the OC ability,Phenom has better features though but you know Quad core does not ultilises all the core when gaming.

Overall :

AMD 5000 BE :Good on Overclock,Normal Features if compare to AMD Phenom,Performances lose if Multitasking,Better gaming than using Quad Core

AMD Phenom 9550 :Unknown Overclock Potentional,Great Features and better than 5000 BE,Performance much more better if multi tasking,On Par/Loses performance on Gaming

So now pick your choice.

yeah..5K BE i good for Overclockers..but since u're using DK i would suggest u to go on phenom..otherwise u won't actually utilize DK performance..it meant for phenom actually..

Like bro AMDAthlon said..Phenom 9550 is build for multitasking but i doubt on how it actually handle it..since i still can't find any review on OC ability..but still another doubt it won't pass 3.0Ghz Oc'ing..

but still u got another option on X3..it worth an upgrade for X2..with extra core added it won't bottleneck ur gaming performance..and for sure it can pass 3.0Ghz oc'ing..someone have done it with same board as yours..brows.gif

BTW i'm selling my X3 if u're interested..hehe... blush.gif

Hi, i'm rather new to AM2 procs here..

Between the 5000 and 5000BE, besides the lack of heatsink for BE and multi unlocked, is there any significant difference between the two chips? In terms of revisions etc.
