Hmm, I guess if you wanna socialize your pups to other dogs, take em to pet shops and vets especially during peak hours then. You could also enroll them to puppy classes too. If you wanna socialize them to people too, then just ajak your friends to come over lo. I usually walk my dogs around my taman (Well, it's kinda populated by Chinese anyway and I scoop their poop too so not many issues) and people do stop to look and sometimes pet them.
Btw, where can I find Nutro dog food around Malacca? I think the shop at Tengkera got sell, but I'm not entirely sure though. I might go for that. :-/ |

QUOTE(aimeh @ Nov 23 2009, 06:32 PM) I am here to tell the story of the cancellation..after many effort by the committee to do everything and to respect our fellow "Malay"sians - no offense.. the Head of STAD( Zamzuri) called the president of APC on Friday night asking her to meet up with him due to "many" complains regarding the dog fashion show.. The president called me and a few committees to attend the meeting that very night. at about 9pm we met up with zamzuri and he said that "staffs" are complaining about the event and scare that poo will be everywhere in campus. we assured him that we set a place for dogs to poo and that dogs dun poo anytime they like.. but he was very rude and defensive. he said that if anything goes wrong he would stop the event half way. the conclusion of the meeting was :- - all dogs must be in a cage at all times. - those who doesn't bring their dog in a cage shall not be allowed to enter MMU. - there must be a mat/plastic/whatever on the ground below the 4 tents at all time. - there will be 2 staffs being located at the event to monitor. - the staffs would stop the event half way if they feel something was wrong. we agreed to the conditions so that the event would go on although it was not the same as what we planned. the next day morning, which was saturday, zamzuri called the president at 7.30am asking her to shift to the Dahlia field which the carpark is still being build. they have no electric there. so in the end the president decided to cancel the event due to all this hardship that they have put up with. this is not 100% of the story but about 80% of it. it was a pain for the committees of APC for organizing it and in the end being targeted like that. they had to sacrifice their time and studies to organize it just for every1. I would say that most of them are fedup with organizing events due to what happen and organizing events where there is not much participation is a very disappointing and sad thing. this matter has been brought up to the student representative council and Proff Omar( some guy very high up to complain to) but the response from SRC President = "can you please don't make this a big matter". proff omar has agreed to refund us the money that we had lost. this is the mind set of MMU and STAD. I got the feeling that the complains come from a club and not staffs. the club name starts with a "U". i am not sure but that is what my and some of my friend's gut feeling tell us. I am sorry if we/I have offended anyone with this event. i am also sorry if i have spoken something here to hurt your feelings. I just want to make things clear that we may be at some fault but not all fault should be blamed to us. APC MMU might be dying due to the lack of support of club and society in MMU and due to the lack of committees in the future. All i can say is i would try my best to keep it alive but I alone can get things done. enjoy while we still can. |

so, the main problem is STAD failed to defend an event that STAD itself approved.
SRC failed to protect and defend students, saying the same things as STAD, is that School Representative Council? I suggest MMU APC might seek organization is Melaka to co-operate or APC just starts a brand new society outside MMU. Conclusion: From this incident, we can see how failure STAD and SRC are. |

without this incident, we already know that SRC tak boleh pakai n what else STAD? really no offense here, but if its a cat fashion show? 101% support. staffs might bring their cat come join also. sigh... sad mentality....

QUOTE(EvanSoon @ Nov 23 2009, 08:56 PM) I am here to tell the story of the cancellation.. First of all , knowing that setting up a club and event is not easy .. bravo for the effort and sorry for the cancellation. Apart from that, is there any event that planned to do other than this ? If yes, can let me be a part of it? I was on my training at the first semester, din join any club also. Is happy when i first saw that APC is doing i think is their first event ( dog fashion show )? But very sad to hear that it has been canceled. Well, let's us works together, if NO in MMU, we can try outside. Maybe co-organized with other party outside and I'm sure that there will still be a way. after many effort by the committee to do everything and to respect our fellow "Malay"sians - no offense.. //----------- APC MMU might be dying due to the lack of support of club and society in MMU and due to the lack of committees in the future. What Malay can do, other races should be actually treated the same and fairly. Reason by saying pooing everywhere on the field is just a lame excuses as the main reason is they dislike dogs. For that, all the APC committee effort in organizing all being wasted. This is the way how Malays treat us in return. So, is not wrong for us to disrespect them at times, which i fully agree with everyone view in MMU and STAD. 1 word, Disappointing... |

Don't bring it to the racist issue .. lol .. Maybe what in they mind is poo and pee from the stray dog, bear in mind that they din have any experience in keeping a dog nor knowledge about them. But apart from that .. cannot run an approved event is a sad case. ^^
