Hi boys and girls and to all modders.
Wellcome to my 2nd personal case modifications thread.

This time,i will mod a case that looks like an Alienware Casing.This case i bought from a good forumer in LYN.Very cheap.
I've been waiting for quite a long time to get a case like i own now and mod it.

The plans :
1) Making a better air flow
- 2X 80mm intake.
- 2X 80mm exhaust.

2) Painting (change color)
*Currently yellow.Maybe changing to two tone color :
- Metallic grey.
- Sparkling grey.

3) Converting to a Inverted ATX.
- The original power supply position in on top,so i am gonna make the position of the power supply to the bottom part.
- Ideas from bro Shawty.

4) Making see through panel.(plexi)
- Plain acrylic glass.
- AC Ryan Black acrylic glass.

5) Installing a small numeric & alphabetic LCD (blue)
- Still thinking where to put.

6) Cable management.
- Hiding all those unused cables for better air flow.
- Looks neat and clean.
- Smart.

7) Optional Mods.
- Fan controller.
- Lots more.

This is just a normal cap ayam casing bro.I am not rich to get original alienware case.

anyway, if its was me. i would mod the top panel.. cuz the top panel looks like a flower horn fish to me..

good luck bro, mine just complete phase 1, yet got 2 more phase.
ur casing i notice not raidmax due to top panel and alu quality.

yeah...looks alike Raidmax casing but i didn't noticed any Raidmax sign there...lolz.. i think u should change the casing color...i'll looking foward your worklog..

hmm.. i suggest changing the exterior's color as well if u didnt plan to....i would go black + red...
wow, putting a 7" LCD will cost u a bomb no?
1) Making a better air flow
- 2X 80mm intake.<-- change to 120mm for better air flow ma
- 2X 80mm exhaust.
- 2X 120mm on top.

Make both intake and exhaust to single 12cm would safe you the hassle of managing cables ..

you could do it by cutting acrylic with blow hole and mount it by cutting out the original mounting on the case ...

since u want to mod it like an alien

Pain it black and use more UV green or orange highlights ...

Personally I'd recommend orange because it would be more eye catching than the old school green ....

then cut the side panel with Alien's face shape on it ...

Lastly cut portion of the door if possible and mount acrylic from inside and install the LCD screen at the drive bay ..

you could also cut alien eyes shape on the door ...

thank you bro.I just started modding my case.
The upper part i cant do much about ut cuz it needs a lot of effort and time.

Its not a raidmax.
About the colr,i think i will most probably use dark color.

Its hard to make a 120mm hole for the outtake bro.Cuz the rear part is quite small for me to put the fans.

i already ordered a small numeric blue lcd to put at the side panel to monitor my temp.

i say respray, window, chuck in some mad UV orange and yellow
get some l33t hardware, and the rest, just stick with your plans to bling it up

Hi guys.Thank you for all the ideas and comments so far.I do really appreciate it.

Today,i received some items for my case modifications project.
Those are :

1- Small LCD (blue backlight).
- To install it somewhere around my case to view the temperature,etc.

2- 120MM Ac Ryan Aluminium Radiator Grill.
-To cover up my 2X 120MM fans on the top part of my case.

3- 500X500MM Ac Ryan black mesh.
-I will use it to cover up some fans.
-Some of it i will use to do a touch up to make the case looks more different from original.

Yes,i am going to make to inverted ATX bro.Its like what i did to my previous mod.
I need to make it to inverted ATX because i need a space on top to put a 2 X 120mm fans as the intake.

I am currently waiting for some of stuffs i ordered to arrive.Then i can start the PART 3.
Well,i still don't know what to purchase for my mod.

the sirip is really beautiful

no offence,but the second pic,the sirip on top has not been cut properly.try filing it.hope it helps.BTW, the sirip on the bottom looks good!

bro what tools you used to cut the fins?

I used a aluminium saw to cut steel.Only RM4.80
But need a lots of effort to cut it because i can't use holder.

Here are some of the tools that i use for my mod.I'm still new at this modifying so i don't really need high-end tools like dremel,mitre-saw,jigsaw.= or etc.

1-Cheap hammer impact drill.
2-Cheap angle grinder.
3-Cheap metal saw.
4-Very cheap stupid tools.

what it that on pictar 3?

Its something like dremel.Cheap.It can only can plastic that is below 8MM thick due the cutting disc sux.
Well,i don't really need it.

then give me. and let me mod it so it could cut steel. meh hehehehe :grind:

Yeah,you're right bro.I tried it already but its very hard because the gap in between those fin are small and curvy.
Well,nothing to worry much now,im done cutting it already.Just need to do some bondo,filing,and touch up.

I received some new cooling hardwares for my casing today.There are four aluminium alloy 80x80x25 fans.

wow.. from kuching sarawak summore.

Yeah,i ordered those from LYN forumer.Its very expensive here in kuching.
Still waiting for some more to arrive.

I think matte black looks cooler? Silver looks like the original colour. Just my thoughts

Right now, i am having a problem with the LCD,my motherboard doesn't have the parallel port.Now i need to look for a Parallel to USB port converter.

actually most of the colour will do...but don spray silver...too common....unless u mix colour ever think of doing ur own 2 tone colour with normal spray can?

Black and with a red coloured heart shape in the middle? Is that what you meant by "dual" tone?

I am looking for its design.
I tried it already,its great and silent.
For me,its still better than those vantec,coolermaster,or other bling2 fans.

Yeah,my original color now is still silver.Too busy to sand it down.I need at least 2 days to sand the interior part only.
Most probably i will send over my case to my friend's painting center.He said want to help me with the painting for free.Its a gun paint.

I think,what he mean is mixing color like pearl white with red/green/black.
Its nice but the price...........

Wow,i never experienced than before.I also painted my previous case to matte black,it looks cool.

yeah nice.. but personally.. i hate the top that looks like flowerhorn fish.. :swt.. only if can remove or extend it too full cover it.

The upper part can be remove.It is only a cover.But,if removed,the head will look even worse.

try DIY top la.

Yes.It can be done.Need to use the bondo to cover up the top part.I will think about it.
I am afraid my case will no more look like "the alien" if i remove the top.

try make alien head design lor..

why u need so many fans?
get an alienware emblem and the logo...

I just ordered it for future usage.I will only use the alu fans.

wahahahha..... i prefer it to be a the side of the casing...hahahaha

but u said its free becoz ur fren is doing it for free....Spray can cost around RM8 per-can....mixing with pearl white is easy...y don u do ur own 2 tone colour? like metalic blue mix with candy red? or candy yellow with metalic green (examples ONLY) i can teach u how if u wanted to...the effect looks nice...when u c if from far away....u'll only able to see 1 colour...but if u go nearer...u can c 2 colours

its the same actually but some of them is different..depends on the brand.errr.....hmmmm ...wat colour are u using as ur base colour....? izzit grey? or white? or u use metalic silver?

base colour? the alu itself.

hmm....foam black....tatz weird...the oni reason i can think of is ur paint is not thick enough to cover up the alu itself, i duno, tatz the oni thing i can think of...next time when u repaint ur casing in flat black...try to giv it a grey colour as the base...a very thin layer of grey...but if u 1 ur main colour(flat black) to look a bit shining or blink blink effect....use metalic silver as the base colour...but this take a little bit of trick to do it

i spary it 2 layer matte black. :hmm still not cover enuf the alu colour?
