QUOTE(blackchides @ Jun 10 2008, 04:00 AM) I think it's the right time to get an iPhone for new users but for current users, it's not really worth the upgrade unless you got some spare change lying around. Well it is depends your need bro...... For me, i will upgrade when there will available in our country (of course unlock version lor)I'll wait for the next generation with hopefully a substantial storage upgrade (64GB? One can hope..), slimmer design etc etc. Time to start a "Should I wait for the 3rd Gen iPhone?" at the FAQ page.. QUOTE(MoNnY @ Jun 10 2008, 04:14 AM) actually, the new plastic back, how will it hold up against scratches ? Plastic back may scratch but the upside is you would get better signal reception. Maybe you should wait for when it launches in Singapore? For warranty purposes, might be better to get it there..the aluminium back was very good.. gave the iphone a nice solid feel too.. not too sure about the new one.. but i'll be getting it for sure... looking for peeps who are already travelling this time round to buy one back for me |

For me I think it's not worth the upgrade for current users, notice that the included accessories for the iPhone 3G does not included dock cradle anymore. The 2 color choice case is awesome, both looks sexy!

The price tag was damn tempting, especially now I'm in UK
But, is the new iPhone still tied with AT&T contract? |

Its only 3G and A-GPS added in for 2nd gen. Nothing else upgraded that you cannot find on the 1st gen iPhone.
Functionality wise, the HTCs and other high end phones will pwnz it. Don't think it will be a major upgrade decision on this for current owners. The price being the same, Apple just wants to take over more customer who are waiting for the hype to kick in. |
