how r u doin guys? long time nvr post in kenari club.
i wanna get some comment from u all, i'm going to change tires soon. can u guys write me some comment on the tires that u r using and used before? some brand in my mind:
conti cc1
yoko a drive
yoko ad07
kumho kh17
falken 912
hankook v8rs

the NO-NO brand:
good year
sime tyres

anymore brand u guys can suggest? i wanna know the performance on dry, wet and corner... tq~
*
i'm currently on a set of Falken 326, so far it's ok. avoid yoko a drive if u take corners alot.

did u change the lateral rod on ur car after u lower it?

yea i love corner. i heard a few person said a drive is not that good. some also recommend me not to talk falken...
hankook v8rs? previously i tried kumho, korean brand also, quite nice. but now i'm looking for some other brand that better then kumho and good year.

forgot to reply that. i didn't change the lateral rod as i'm quite lucky the wheel didn't went one side. but actually i suppose to put it.

oh ya, i saw u driving in front of palm spring@damansara like one two week ago... firstly i notice the black rim then i saw u driving it pass by.
*
yeah.. i was in that area abt that time... but didn't really notice ur car...

u r welcome!  rclxms.gif
1. for my car, i change it to smaller steering wheel + myvi se rim which is wider (14X5JJ), original kenari is on 14X4.5JJ, so my steering wheel is heavier then usual; for ur case, maybe u can check what wheel size u r using, take a photo of the whole wheel and post here, then everyone can help, to notify whether it's wheel's prob or power steering prob. for ur question, if everything is alright and stock condition, the steering wheel is smooth.
2. not to say hide, the connector might dropped inside, so just remove the spare tire and use a torch light then u can find it; if not, it's removed.
3. wow ur auto runs 400+-km? it's nice to hear that! mine can only run 300+, so 400+-km is consider good for a kenari!  thumbup.gif
*
my rims is wider than yrs at 14x6.0JJ but didn't feel heavy at all. steering wheel is ori.

hi morning jaesern,  rclxms.gif
i went to tire shop & they take out for me the connection seat belt already .
about the rims saiz they told me that is 14" as same as original one.
they have test drive my car & tell me that normal for steering.
so i think all my problem solved !
now just only left the door sound , they can't know where it from, because after uncovering the door inside is nothing wrong,
haih..
about the fuel, more accurate is about 350+- la...
anyway i like this car !! quality quite solid !!
compare with my new car, nissan teana, that is worse quality !!!
anyway, thanks jaesern. thumbup.gif
*
normally for these kinda sound, need time to check it. btw, it is rattling sound?

- stiffer suspension, adjustables recommended (1.5k)
- wider rims and better tires (this can vary alot.... rim size, width, japan, taiwan, tire size, tire model etc etc.. so depends on u)
- front strut bar, rear strut bar and rear anti roll bar (RM8xx)
- bucket seats, yes bucket seats...they do make a difference in corners. SSCUS oso ok (1.2k a pair)
the absolute and best mod u can do just for cornering... change car. im not joking... kenari is the wrong car for this kinda things....
anyway... in need of changing my kenari's front windscreen. anybody knows where around PJ/Subang/Shah Alam that does it? and price as well..

i asked a shop in sri muda (Dr cermin or something like that) and got quoted RM480 inclusive of new window mouldings...
*
i change mine in 07 for RM360 at Jalan Pahang, the shop same row as Tawakal Hospital

you can either get your workshop/mechanic to order it for you or bring a sample to spare part shop.
accs shop like brothers if they still have stock. erm, there is two type, one permanent fixed on and on fixed on but with roller blind. price should be around rm70 for the permanent, i got one few years back. search in this thread on earlier post you can find the photo of mine.
either take your current engine turbocharge it with low compression piston or just simple bot OR myvi engine OR k3-vet. stock 660cc turbo is about the same like our kenari, only diff with turbo feel  laugh.gif because i manage to outrun kancil 660 turbo.
there is two screw; one from outside, one from inside, the outside one you can simply access to it by just open the cover; the inside one you will need to remove your door panel, tear the plastic cover carefully from the seal, get a torch light and you will see a screw, it's either 10mm or 12mm nut, can't remember.

cheers!

ofkoz ur car can outrun a 660 turbo, power ma...

my car radiator top is leaking so got it changed yesterday.

my car's milage now is 208k

so far everything is still running normall except for the wear and tear parts.

btw, full tank i only can get the max is 250km,around 10l/km which is really poor fc for a 1.0l car, what should i do to reduce the fc?80% city,20% highway, auto tranny
*
mine city driving full tank 450km, if all highway more 550km

do u carry alot of things in ur car?

my Kenari is faster? shocking.gif  shakehead.gif  unsure.gif
turbo is good in power, but too fast; not sure about others but i don't think i will want it...
check all the things i mention previously and get your fuel consumption done 1st, then only think of 14". stock Kenari is using 14" on newer model, just get Myvi's rim if you want, original Kenari rim get to dent quite easily.

ANYWAY, guys, TT session?  rclxm9.gif  long time already since our last TT.
*
sure faster when u overtake me last time

TT maybe this coming weekend, want?
