Restore back to 1.0.2. Use iLiberty+ to jailbreak and activate only plus installer and add i.unlock.no in source. Use the Virginizer in Unlocking Tools section to restore the corrupted Seczone to default and set the baseband as factory setting. The Virginizer only works in 1.0.2. After virginize ... then u can RESTORE to 1.1.4 and continue jailbreak/activate + installer with iLiberty. I recommend u to UNLOCK using bootneuter as this is the best unlocking tool to date.

If u can manage with just home wifi and public hotspots then i don't see any use for an unlimited data plan from postpaid. If u r a net addict and need to be connected all the time and no public hotspot in sight, then u better subscribe for an unlimited data plan. Pay as U Use is still very expensive even if u occasionally use it.

For me ... I got an unlimited data plan from Digi courtesy from my company. Free internet all the way. Muahahahahahahahaahahaha.

Seems like u guys need to spend more time with the phone just to explore its funtionality. Its a wonderful device.

bro its actually 300mb and not 700mb. U can type 'df -h' in terminal or putty and see. The phone are devided into 2 partitions that is disk0s1 and disk0s2. The first one is for the system and the latter is media partition. The system only occupy around 250++mb and the balance would be use for swap files. Thats why we need to relocate the application folder or other folder i.e wallpaper or fonts to the media partition so we dont jammed the system partition. Apple put the application folder in the 1st partition becoz they werent expecting people to be able to install other apps rather than the stock ones only.

And the next firmware size will not be that big. It will be around the other firmwares (160++mb but wont go to 200mb). Remember ... the IPSW file is in a zipped format and it can be expended more.

If u want to buy it at a shop, try Digital Mall at Sec14 PJ or Pertama Complex. Last time ... llike a month a go i went to Pertama Complex and the guy there quote me RM1750 for the 8GB version. So now the price should be lower. Better still u can check in the Garage Sales.

cwm just released WinPwn v1.0 RC1 and its more stable than the previous ones with lots of enhancement and bug fixes. Here are some of the features/fixes taken from www.winpwn.com

Wahh ... u really need to read up on iphone utilities. WinPwn (windows) or PwnageTool (Mac) is the ultimate jailbreak/unlocking tool. Go to www.iphone-dev.org for some explaination on PwnageTool and www.winpwn.com for WinPwn.

Firmware 2.0 is for Developer using the SDK. Its not for normal use as it have a expiry date and its very buggy. Wait few more weeks until WWDC as Apple will release the final version.

Sometimes this kind of statement makes the senior iphone user just keep things to themselves. When newbies get what they want, sometimes they don't have the courtesy to say thank you but when they don't, they will flame like nobodys business. Sometimes i've also lost interest in these forum.

I know this would be a stupid question to ask but here goes .... did u activate MMS with maxis?

If yes then do this:
1. Go to Setting --> Phone --> network --> EDGE
2. Put in the APN, username and password. It should be the same as above but one thing u must make sure, if your sim card is a 3G sim then the APN name should be unet and if its not then the APN name is net.
3. Once this is done, try open safari and open google. This is just to make sure u can access the net.
4. Open SwirlyMMS setting.
5. The setting should be:

MMSC: http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc
Proxy : 202.75.133.49

APN : net @ unet (depends on the sim card)
Username : maxis
Password : wap

6. Save the setting and try out if it works or not. (hope it does)

Still reading thru ilounge regarding the v-moda vibe and one more earphones. The reviews there give 50-50 for the v-moda. Some said it only last for a month before it get spoilt and some said its very good. So right now have to weigh everything carefully as that thing is not cheap. And might get it online if the price is cheaper than shops here. The stock earphones already mau kaput.

Your problem can simply be solved by reseting the phone (reset all setting) or the plug/unplug the earphone trick. Well people do learn their best thru mistakes right.

Why seller doesn't absorb transportation cost? If u r a seller ... would u? If their profit margin is high and they have high demand for the product then they can absorb it but if they just a small seller with small profit margin then its a big impact for them. Well thats business.

Been using customize 2 with 1.1.4 since 2-3 months ago. Make sure its the new customize ... not the old one.

I did encounter the no sound problem after i install the iPhone Video Recorder app. There's a way to rectify it without restoring. I don't think it will get corrupted if u just fiddle around with ringtone app or upload videos and music. Did u try pluging in the earphones and play a movie or songs and not just plug in/out?

Why i don't encourage restoring everytime u face a problem? Coz if we don't know whats causing it, we might repeat it back after we restore and face the problem again. If its truly no way around it then restore will be the last resort.

U notice this happen after u install iphone video recorder? Thats what happen to me ... that app messed up my sound system. Then i decide to uninstall it. Maybe thats the root cause.

Hmmm ... maybe something was corrupted.

U can use it without jailbreaking .... if u have a ligit contract with AT&T. If u don't jailbreak, they how are u going to activate? To activate (hacktivate), we need to patch the lockdown file. Thats why when use iLiberty, the option to untick jailbreak is not possible. We can't do anything without jailbreaking. But if u jailbreak but didn't install anything, even installer than that one can la.

Hahaha ... Told u already. Luckily my symptom was not as bad as yours. Maybe the app encoding process really mess up our sound system.

If cannot use mean its spoiled already laa. Try with other people's earphone (iphone one la) and see (if got). The stock earphone mmg senang rosak punya.

The version of BL got nothing to do with it ... same with bootneuter. U can use any BL with any version of phone without any problem.
