Just do a final sync with iTunes before upgrading. That's equal to doing a backup. Alternatively, install TimeCapsule and store a second backup there. Once backuped with TimeCapsule, extract the backups and save in your computer using SSH (wifi) or iphonebrowser (cable).

yes they are original of course. ripped from an iphone, hence they are used but in superb condition. i mean, hey anything has to beat my dented case's condition right?

hi guys, just wanted to double check with you guys on a function,

the other day i couldn't get my iphone to wake up after you have put it to sleep by clicking on the button on the top of the phone (sorry my terminology is very bad, newbie). Normally you juist press the "home" button to wake it up and then slide to unlock, but when i press the home button nothing happens. the weird thing is only when i charge my phone on the charger, then i can wake thephone up. And its not the battery fault cause i have charged it the whole night and battery bar is full, but it still happens.

So i hit kinda restarted the phone and my problem is solved. weird... anyway, i just wanna check with you guys on the ipod function. When i play a song currently, and want to stop it, i just hit the "pause" button. if i then hit the back arrow button to go back to the artist or songs selection page, it still has the "Now playing" button on the top right and the little speaker icon next to the song i was playing which normally shows what song is currently playing.

I'm sorry i think i'm just so darn paraniod after my incident above, but is this normal? Because i seem to can't remember this happening before my incidient above. But it can be just me being scared. so guys can i just dbl check if the "Now playing" and speaker icon to still be there after you have paused a song?

Any other ways to stop a song in a iphone?

Any help to calm me down willl be helpful

Yes, event though you have paused the song, the Now Playing sign is still there because you haven't completely played your playlist yet. To make it disappear, don't just tap your Home button, hold it till it completely exits the iPod function. When you go back in again, it'll be gone.

As for your Wake button problem, I have no idea. Maybe your phone needed a restart that's all, like PCs being turned for too long and needs a restart to clear the memory and so on.

ive downloaded and installed SummerBoard v3.2
and downloaded some themes from installer
but when i go to select themes from SMBPrefs, there is none theme there

i even SSH some themes into the theme folder
still cant find any theme

any help

ha ha. to black? i dont know what type of paint to get since some might not stick to the case well and end up getting scratched up.

ok ive found the fix to it
go to /private/var/mobile/Library

look for the SummerBoard folder
change the octal to 0557

i also find that if you install through the installer app, it will install to var/root/Library/SummerBoard/Themes
so must copy those themes into the directory above

well i got a better way for u.. first uninstall everything.
then install "smb themes fix" --> summerBoard version 3.2
then try install those themes from summerboard

smb themes fix will help u to fix up those above as stated by deithlord

i did that but my problem wasnt fixed
probably bcoz i didnt reset my phone after i installed the fix
but nevertheless can choose between both method
hehe

guys, is there any tools/apps to know the exact % of iphone batt instead of looking at visual batt status? thanx.

just install the apps named BatteryINFO from the installer list....
