QUOTE(Thrust @ May 2 2008, 09:32 AM)
I've noticed that those top timers managed to do perfect cornering which I totally can't catch up (using ghost replay). I was thinking could it be due to the fact that some racers are using Racing Wheel instead of joypad which could maximize the throttle control thus higher speed and cleaner turns around chicane? Feedback from forummers need on this. Thanks! smile.gif

Note: All driving aids are turned off.

Not entirely true.... i'm only using the DS3... i'm doing ok. tongue.gif

Hehehe...

Thats why i use R2 for throttle and L2 for braking rather than the default X and [].

More precise throttle control as you can step half the throttle only during tight cornering and stay on the racing line than to understeer with full throttle.

I use the analog sticks. Left for steering... right stick for accelerating and braking.

L2 and R2 for shifting up and down gears.

Yup.... 4WD does not oversteer that much, Rear Wheel tend to oversteer with you're not careful with the throttle. Mid-engines are the most prone to oversteer... but a fun to drive. ie, Lotus Elise.

As for the Ferrari, i personally like the F430. And no, it does not oversteer to a point its impossible to drive.

The car that suffers the worse is the ford GT. Without a proper wheel, it's impossible.

Same goes to the 599.

it's got more to do with PD than sony. COD never had that "players met" thing too until their last update.

Aaron, so fast ah u get bored. biggrin.gif  But i thought u can do so many things in Liberty City, bro? sweat.gif  Anyway, whatever the reason, to me the GT series is always going to be a priority over other games 24/7.  nod.gif

Hmm, not as much as San Andreas. So much more to do.

And the missions are less repetitive. I mean in GTA4, all you do is Gun Down everyone, Long Car Chase, Escape from police. And money earned.. well.... never get to spend. So... i'm disappointed to be honest. I want to buy properties, etc etc...

Anyway, thanks for the terms.. i was never good about cars in technical terms.. i just drive... tongue.gif

Heck, i dont even know wtf is a drive shaft.. ( i mean i know, just... well you get what i mean..)

QUOTE(Krovaxq @ May 9 2008, 12:58 PM)
I never used TC... even for the Ford GT... if u really race alot with TC (assume u get better every races) .. try turn it off.. ull see a lot of difference in your progress (u can check from timeattack urself)  the more TC u put in, the more acceleration power u will lose, specially after going out of a corner

if u folo driving line properly, ford gt also no nid TC.. coz the problem is jz the gas pedal..if use sixaxis, rili hard to contain MR/FR cars
*
Hehehe.. i'm only using DS3...

So know with a proper wheel.. handling it should be no problem...

But throttle with the analog stick ?? tongue.gif

yeah man.... best way to accelerate out of corner is precise throttle... analog sticks just cant do that... and also steering...

then try Nizams combo...

no offense, but buttons for accelerating and braking works with arcade games, as , you either slam brake hard or accelerate hard...

you cant do that in GT. ehhe.
