projector is the way to go biggrin.gif

Yeah. Best bang for buck in terms of screen size but not many ppl has the luxury of an area to have a projector and not forgetting the suitable environment.

That is a cool setup. You guys think a cheapo Benq 612 (now RM1999 + screen) can do a decent job?
*

If you are into HD (BD or mkv), then get a decent HT HD pj. Those cheap multimedia pjs just doesnt make the cut (sorry, no offense to those who owns it) when comes to displaying HD video.

i know 32" 1366x768 resolution is not good enough for PC desktop usage.. how much 32" full HD?
*

To fully appreciate 32" Full HD, you need to sit pretty close to the screen, which is about 4ft.

But risky. If for me, I dare not to do that sweat.gif . I will normally use Unser to do the job for 40" and above. 32" to 37" can fit into normal sedan.

The single most important of the PQ of LCD TV, plasma tv or any HD panel for the matter is the SOURCE that you are feeding it with. When you talk abt poor and crappy PQ, it is not the problem of the panel itself. smile.gif

The HD panel will only looks good if it is fed with proper source, i.e. HD files or movies. Other than that, it will not look at its best as it need to scale the incoming source to fit its native rez.

I cant imagine why on earth would someone buy a full HD while spent most of the time watching Astro with it doh.gif . If watching DVD, aint that bad if the DVDP is equipped with HDMI. At least, it is upscale. Aint that bad. wink.gif

Hi, newbie here. I am looking for a 32" TV mainly for PS3 and Astro viewing. Any good recommendation. Appreciate it if let me know about the price as well. As I am not into games, I am just getting the TV for my nephew, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Either Sharp 32A53M, Samsung 32A450 or Pana 32LX80MK. All in the range of RM2,200 to RM2,500.

Most higher-end AV receivers do built-in upscaling function..It will upscale the picture to 720P or 1080i/p from various source likes, AV (astro got this), Svideo(astro got this as well), component or HDMI .. Just the upscaled picture still far away from true HD source..
*

For example, Onkyo SR875, which utilizes HQV Reon-VX video processor
