Hypermarts are selling maxcable component cable for abt RM50. I didnt see any apparent difference compare to my more expensive component cable. When a SD source is fed to a LCD TV via a composite, the PQ is pixelated. If you have DVDP with HDMI, then you will see the difference.  Composite (yellow) is only for visual. It doesnt affect the sound. Sound (red & white or optical and coaxial) is using another different set of cables. |

The black bars that you see is due to the native ratio of the movie itself. 16:9 or known as HDTV format is only a part of the 'widescreen' format. There is another ratio; 2.35:1. On 16:9 panel, you will see black bars on top and bottom.
