VGA can easily wallop higher than full HD res lah! vmad.gif

full HD is 1920 x 1080.

VGA can still drive 24+" monitor at 1920x1200!!!

Don't get confused between cable/connection type and resolution.

You can easily pump crap resolution through HDMI or DVI............. tongue.gif

Anyways, the only problem you will face is HDCP - ie. content protection. If you try to output protected content - you won't be able to get full res.

But if you using desktop/games/own movie files/whatever, shouldn't be a problem.

Having said that - 1 point to note.

Even though an LCD monitor is say Full HD 1920x1080 - it doesn't mean that it WILL DEFINITELY take PC input at that resolution.

You have to check the specs for specific models.

Dependent on the quality of your VGA cable and cable length, etc etc, you may or may not notice a difference.

In theory - if you're talking about simple home use with 'std' cable lengths - ie. your computer right next to your monitor, you prob not going to notice a difference.

Don't be too quick to jump on the surely digital is better.
