QUOTE(Joker339 @ Apr 24 2008, 01:41 PM) VGA can easily wallop higher than full HD res lah! thank for the info, coz getting sharp or samsung Full HD lcd tv soon.. full HD is 1920 x 1080. VGA can still drive 24+" monitor at 1920x1200!!! Don't get confused between cable/connection type and resolution. You can easily pump crap resolution through HDMI or DVI............. Anyways, the only problem you will face is HDCP - ie. content protection. If you try to output protected content - you won't be able to get full res. But if you using desktop/games/own movie files/whatever, shouldn't be a problem. Having said that - 1 point to note. Even though an LCD monitor is say Full HD 1920x1080 - it doesn't mean that it WILL DEFINITELY take PC input at that resolution. You have to check the specs for specific models. so need some input from all sifu here.. |
