Hi guys,
Finally found something with my Waja CPS that I could really learn to like..I have just travelled to Penang and you guys wouldn't believe the FC I recorded..I filled the tank up before my journey and when I reached Penang I needed just RM37.36 or 19.46 litres of fuel before the auto cut-off kicked in. The distance traveled? 360km!! To be honest it was hard work achieving this level of FC with a constant speed of 80-90km/h and steady concentration and anticipation of highway traffic to prevent unnecessary braking and acceleration. But still to get 0.103cents/km is no mean feat! My previous Iswara, when subjected to the same driving style could only yield 0.118cents/km. My salute to the CPS engine in this department. A word of advice to you guys on the remote key. I dropped and broke mine a couple of days after taking the car. I fixed it back and discovered that I couldn't start the engine with the key anymore! The SC guy told me that there is a transponder chip in each key and it has to be programmed before it can be used. In my case I didn't put the chip back, hence rendering the key useless. I have to ask them to put in a new chip at a cost of RM70. One question here...With this chip in the key does it mean that car thieves would find it harder to do their thing since not just any similar key could start the engine? Does anyone know?? |

QUOTE(Low Rider @ Apr 28 2008, 11:25 PM) Hi guys, The transponder only prevent other people from starting tour car with a duplicated keys. They still can hot-wired to start your car, but will take more time. Just put back the transponder and it will work, no need to order new one. R3 also selling tat headlamp separately.. but dono whether got ppl installed it and got JPJ kacao anot... mayb u can do full R3 bodykit then fit tat in.. hahaAdded on April 29, 2008, 9:40 am QUOTE(radd @ Apr 29 2008, 05:07 AM) anyone know how far this chip can be detect from the key hole? been thinking of this past few days: we take out the chip and put it in our pocket or wallet. so only us with that key can start the engine (exclude case of hotwired). cool huh? i don think it can if u take out from the key.. cos as wat i understand.. the key itself also act as a key to switch off the immobilizer...(correct me if i am wrong) and the immobilizer cant b too far away from the key hole... if u wan this system can go acc shop install additional immobilizer lo as wat i got in my dad waja.. but can seriously tell u.. is NOT CONVENIENCE hehe.. cos 1st thing, the chip is not small and 2nd the chip some times will shock circuit need to hit/bang/throw/press in order to reactive the immobilizer. last time should b cost around 300++ now should b cheaper as the market now introducing a few new system.. like the credit card kind of system, GPS tracking system by using sim card(act as phone) but with command tat u can shut down the car, stop the car, track the car etc.. The tranponder do not required battery. It is actually an antenna inside. When the ignition send a RF signal, it will send back (reflect) unique signal. The ignition system then check if the signal is correct before it allows us to start the car. Sadly, because the transponder is small, it need to be close to the ignition system to be able to reflect back the signal. So, putting it inside your wallet is not an option. You can try to experiment the operating range yourself. now im using shell (ferrari purpose, but last time no stock QUOTE(jianh @ Apr 29 2008, 08:41 AM) can this Waja CPS headlight fit into old Waja?? Coz I really love the HID light, plus it's not illegal bah Should be the same. But, the HID ballast is attached on the bottom of the headlight. Make sure it has enough clearence. You also need to loosen up the front bumper to put it in (because of the ballast). BTW, just smoked my headlamp for RM110. This post has been edited by sphiroth: Apr 29 2008, 02:22 PM |
