Anyone interested to get waja cps but no stock? If i'm not mistaken, just saw one yesterday at giant showroom(no number plate), maybe not anyone car....hehe

Guys.. about bringing our own engine oil, i was advised by the guy taking my reception, that the most you can bring is from Shell and up to the semi-synthetics type. even petronas brand they let you chose up to syntium 800 which is semi-synthetic. other than that, anything happened with the engine they will deny your warranty. I even tell him that I wanna bring the finest Fully synthetic from Mobil - the Mobil 1 Supersyn Gold summore and he tells me proton won't honour the warranty if something happened to the engine period. with that said i took the syntium 800 for my 2nd service. looks like have to wait the 5 year (175000km **please anyone confirm the figures ) warranty to end to use our preferred Engine oil. haihh...

btw i'm in Kota Bahru attending work here. The journey here very pleasurable through Karak - Bentong - Gua Musang - Kota Bahru roads. oh yeah.. i'm monitoring the FC for the duration here by start fueling at Genting Sempah Petronas.

Most Waja CPS unique part need to be ordered, just like the UV glass.

Ask them to use the water jet (one use to wash car). If they still refuse, go make some noise at the supervisor.

Added on April 28, 2008, 1:16 amOil brand depend on SC. All PESC use Petronas while Service dealer use Esso, Mobil, Shell (these 3 confirmed other don't know). Maybe they got commission from selling that brand so they insist you used it.

One thing I don't understand is, if CPS got 10k service interval, can a semi synthetic last that long? Usually up to 7k km only.

Any car can have 10k km servicr interval if you used fully synthetic engine oil because it can last up to 10k km. If use semi just 7k km and mineral is 5k km. BTW, KIA Picanto oso have 10k km service interval (use fully synthetic).

Cam Profile Switching, same principles as VTEC and Mivec.

that's what make me wondering... to go up to 10k interval usually depends on the fully synthetics oil not the engine. can it be also depends on the engine? got back from pasir gudang yesterday... saw a cps user on saturday nite, direction from pasir gudang, midnite blue JKT ****...

finally manage to test full tank FC, 300km highway, 200km trafic infested city drive, rm80=500km... not bad ehh...

so everybody wondering bout da 10k service interval... even for full syn, its better to change it at 8k... another thing i doubt the oil filter can last until 10k... before this im using shell semi syn, i use it for 5k before changing it...

btw... when i went for my 1st service, i ask wanna use mineral oil... but they say cps cannot use mineral, must use at least semi syn... is this true or just bull...

Most SC doesn't know sh*t about new CPS, same case with the UV glass. Or maybe they try to earn more commission by sellling more expensive oil. AFAIK, the only thing thats matter is the SAE, not type of oil. Type of oil only determine the time before an oil change is needed. Thats why better go to big SC rather than service dealer.

but still we have got da answer for da 10k service period... isit good enuf to make sure the engine can last long... wanna stick to 5k interval with semi syn(going to use shell) + oil filter change... at da same time keep da warranty for the engine valid... 5 years service at Proton SC...

As long as we serviced at PESC or authorized workshop, I don't think there's a problem with warranty. Everything we change type of oil) are computerized and recorded.

Correct, challenge the SC to give you a written document stating use of other oil except for the one recommended by SC will void your warranty.

The user manual(as a legal binding document) only states the min. oil grade and viscocity needed, not the brand and type of oil.

You could easily challenge them in consumer tribunal, only RM5 to log in your case, fast / cheap and quite efficient.

Anyone know any good service dealers ? The one where you can actually talk to the mech. and see him repair.

Am feed up with the big centers, you tell them your problem, they say no problem ..

My friend (Waja Campro) done the 2nd service at an service dealer some time ago, cost him almost 300. They added X1-R here and there.

For the big SC, make sure they computerize your complaint. This will show up on your invois/receipt along with any repair/adjustment they done.

Right, next service the 3rd (starting of 10K interval) service i will bring my Mobil 1 and ask them to use it. If they "banyak cakap" i will told them that's up to the Tribunal to decide... nothing mentioning about can't use this and that brands of oil to use. Is this sufficient?

one more thing how to sure they will use the oil we gave them? ask for the empty bottle or we see them doing it? can we do that contrary to that "no unauthorised person can enter" rule??

CPS engine can finish 1 big bottle or engine oil?? cos my previous civic always got left over.. after few times accumulate.. is a new bottle and can b use another time and is free haha..

which engine oil is recomanded?? other than mobil-1 and shell semi syn?
