Just came back from Damansara Jaya Newly opened Proton Edar Service Center:

I give my credit to the Manager there, and two technicians who fixed my car..
They were really helpful and skillful..In terms of troubleshooting and repairing as well.

1. Check engine light on - Checked thru the new communication device shown  that my VIM is not working. They have ordered me a new VIM motor and will go change once the part reached.

2. Front Passenger Portion squeezing sound - Is fixed by tighten the body and put lubricant oil. Now in perfect condition - no noise at all.

3. Steering buzzing sound - Reduced but still sometimes buzz. Will get it fix when my VIM motor arrived.

Anyone, mytrader went with me today, he got his dashboard vibrating sound fixed. Very good work from the mechanic.
I strongly recommend this SC, friendly, helpful and skillful mechanic.

My left front door seems hard to close tight.anyone facing the same thing? have to bang harder to close well

wat car urs? Gen2 CPS?
wanna ask, when open door (*for driver side), around ignition switch got light up?
my old wira , got the light surround the ignition switch

Your 10w/30 is Petronas mineral oil or semi-syn??? or issit Shell? or etc???

My latest FC as below

Distance travel : 606.7km
fuel comsume : 49.301 litre

.......RM0.22 per km and 12.31 km/l   and 8.12liter per 100km.

about 65% highway, 35% city driving(assuming only)....with 60-98 km/h.....

My car fuel gauge before refilling is near empty.....several time the needle in position way below E mark     . At that time, I thought the tank is really near empty, but refueling show different result.

Gen2 CPS 1.6 - iridescent white - Perak's plate number 7478 - 10,000++ km already - this week will be my 3rd service..
I have questions guys..actually from what i know, CPS is what proton said while others called it VVTi, VTEC, bla bla..etc etc...
so, is this true ?

another question is, while i'm riding my Gen2, from 2600 rpm increase to 3000 rpm, there is a 'unique' sound coming from my engine..
i'm wondering if this the sound coming from my 'CPS technology'..? those valves started to play, injecting in more fuel to feed their horses..??

I need explanation from experts...

I thought the cps start to 'open' at 6K rpm. At 2.8K rpm is the IAFM. 

Luckily gen2 didn't have this kind of problems..but guys, did anyone of u who drive gen2 cps, notice that steering wheel mis-align..

I notice my gen2's...when i take a sharp and hard cornering, my steering wheel didn't came back to its original place, slightly to the right or left depends on which side of cornering...

I want to highlight this problems during my 10k service next week..(but my mileage already 11,000 ++..hehe)

Ya lah, stupid Proton, still Waja suffered from power window Problem

The scissors type already been used for quite sometime. It can reduce the PW motor load, hence longer lifetime.

I don't have boot light problem but my boot is hard to close, must need to follow along to push down to close it.
Another thing is before the 1K service, when turn Right, the  Left fender side got nyek2 noise and when send to service that fellow lube the Antiroll bar and the noise is gone.
Initially I thought its the Fender noise because it sounds like metal body squeeking, luckily didn't send to knock the car body.
But now when I break while moving slowly, Right fender got nyek2 noise pulak.. I think maybe is the Antiroll bar again... hopefully not the Right Fender noise or car body noise.

Another thing I dun like is the MT gear shift, sometimes very hard to find 1st. and 4th gear and sometimes 2nd gear.
Also, my brake is not good, no power enough to grip and I really suspect there is still Air Trap in the brake line... Just now I tested my ABS and at least its working. Will need to ask them to Bleed my brake line on the 5k service.

One more thing, did you guys notice if you use the Left indicator switch you can just slightly push it and it will stay(just like those Change LAne indicators found in Europe countries cars) but Right indicator will not work if push slightly. Are you guys Waja CPS also the same?
Some cars i driven before in Europe got 2 level indicators, if push lightly is for change lane and will blink 3 times, and push hard is for Turning.
Other than this tiny winny things, overall its a good ride to drive.
