Great, maybe we could meet up rclxms.gif

On the your dashboard sound, Campro is known to have a resonance point around 2.5k to 3k . something is not tighten/installed properly , hence you hear the rattling sound.

Does easier breathing for the engine equates to better FC ? (If driven in a polite tongue.gif manner).

Theoritically yes... but the smooth pickup performance makes me want to go faster. Been there, done that.  laugh.gif

Open pod will need to be mated with a effective CAI, else results might be worst than standard.

Hi, welcome to the club, yet another blue agate member to add smile.gif

Throttle response for waja compared to the carb. iswara is very different. Carb engines have a more sensitive throttle, slight tap will give you immediate response.

On the other hand, do not forget that the Waja is HEAVY, 12xxkg vs. 9xxkg.

Added on April 25, 2008, 5:54 pmThose member that is >5K already, are you still using 20w/50 oil or swtiched over to 10w/30 ?

believe the latter will make the engine more responsive and better FC.

What time you going? Yea, the sound sucks...i cant take it..i must got it fixed tommorow....

I am going early in the morning, 7.45 will reach there i think...

Anyway , i notice that i also have the "nyuk-nyuk" sound... wondering which part it come from?
*
I will try to be there by 8..., need to get it done ASAP, got a hectic schedule for the day.

Believe the sound to be from the front fender fitting, seems this problem has been present since the first Mitsu Waja till now. some minor "adjustment" will solve it.

Hi skyancient,

Actually strike here means both the wiper blade refused to swipe the windscreen when we set it ON during raining time. And I wish to report here that it happened again last Thursday when travelling from KB to KT. This time,it went Off and On 4 times times during 1 hour heavy rain.

A new problem is the driver side door glass that slide down by itself and is had to happened during heavy rain. I got press and hold on to the switch hard so it won't slide down. Luckily mine is automatic otherwise banyak lecer la.

Will report in to KT SC very first thing 8am..hehehe(quite near my house).
*
Bro, had the exact same problem with you ! vmad.gif Just started last night .

Mine will slide down when starting the car, and it sometimes refuse to go up after that.

Was at COE for my first 1k service, complaint to CS on the issue, but since it is a saturday, they only do lube service, nothing else. They even ask, is the window stuck open now ? If yes, we will look at it, if not, it can wait.. come back next time vmad.gif vmad.gif Luckily when i collected my car, it open and didn't want to close. Went inside a gave the CS+mechanic a piece of my mind, then only they look into the issue.

I was already furious , as the lube service took 1 1/2 hour to complete, car wash 2 hours !!!!!

They only took 15 min or so for the PW problem, didn't know what they did, but it is fine now.

Maybe they just adjusting the switch contact point.  hmm.gif

I believe so, since members suggested it is due to water shorting the contacts.

With their work speed, impossible for them to have open the door panel within that 15 min time tongue.gif .

The check engine like is not normal, shouldn't come out after the engine is on. If it does, "check your engine".

The annoying part of the AT is it oversensitive fuzzy logic downshift of downhill. Wish they could have dampen it slightly more.

Most SC doesn't know sh*t about new CPS, same case with the UV glass. Or maybe they try to earn more commission by sellling more expensive oil. AFAIK, the only thing thats matter is the SAE, not type of oil. Type of oil only determine the time before an oil change is needed. Thats why better go to big SC rather than service dealer.  sweat.gif
*
Correct, challenge the SC to give you a written document stating use of other oil except for the one recommended by SC will void your warranty.

The user manual(as a legal binding document) only states the min. oil grade and viscocity needed, not the brand and type of oil.

You could easily challenge them in consumer tribunal, only RM5 to log in your case, fast / cheap and quite efficient.

Anyone know any good service dealers ? The one where you can actually talk to the mech. and see him repair.

Am feed up with the big centers, you tell them your problem, they say no problem .. vmad.gif

Should be no left over left for CPS as the engine + filter requires 4 L .

Anyone using 10w/30 oil yet ? Manual says for CPS recomended is 10w/30.....

Ya, log in your complaint thru I-care and then send for servicing, "cucuk" thru I-care again if problem not resolve, build up a case with them as each call to I-care is documented and recorded.

The check engine light issue might be a small gremblin with the electronics or might be a big problem waiting to happen, so get it check out and fix immediately.

If the check engine light comes out, the error code bound to be stored, SC should be able to read the error code via PDT tool. Have they done that ?

Hello guys.. i've already 70% made up my mind to book the car. however need a favor from u all before make it to 100%. i went to proton edar showroom this afternoon (somewhere along old klang road) to check up the car and found out 1 unit of MT model being displayed. I actually wanna go for AT model but in fact the SA told me that the AT model has been recall by proton due to the gearbox problem. the production has been stopped until somewhere in October. can someone confirm this fact or perhaps the owner of AT model could share the thoughts whether it is really a gearbox problem or it just a shifting the knob problem. tqs
*
There is no issues with AT or any recall. Your SA have ready stock for MT, that is why he is trying to push it off to clear.

The reason for delivery in Oct is due to PRDM order, nothing else.

As for the check engine light, it is to do with the engine. Would say it is an isolated case, awaiting YS to feedback on his finding. If there is a fault with the AT gearbox or TCU, the D indicator will blink, indicating fault with transmission.

Hope this clear some air. smile.gif

i think they using metallice white rather than irridencent white...

it will look different compared to the normal white that they usually used...

CPS thread to rule them all...

da new gen2 cps bumper got good review from my frens... mix with nambu black, they say it looks good... da new grill reminds me of the grill from golf gti...

this is for A/T user of CPS, how does the gear change feel in the morning... drive while the gearbox warms up... do u feel its a bit jerky, then its gone after the gearbox is up to operating temperature...
*
On the gearbox in the morning, mine shift to 2nd gear around 2.2k RPM, if you keep it below that, it just stays at 1st.

Once it shift to 2nd gear for once, then it is back to normal operation. No jerk.
