Now just 6k km. Next service (10k km) should use fully synthetic right? Coz service after that is 20k km.

Just bought myself a turtle wax platinum leather cleaner & conditioner. Tiring stuff to do... but really gives the leather a real good shine... and smells good too. Still got the back seats to do and the door trim... funny how the gen2 leather got all the small holes on the seat and the cream always get inside... sigh... but disappears after drying... any of you CPS-ians use this product?? any other recommendations???

still less than 500kms... waiting for 1st service... difficult to engage 4th gear... hopefully a change in gear oil will help... anyone got his problem with their MT??? there is also 1 loose screw in the bootlid... rolling around when i do corners...annoying... but handling is excellent... smile.gif
*
I just use plain water to clean the leather seat. wub.gif

No problem shifting from 3->4, but some problem when 5->4. nod.gif

QUOTE(sharinling @ May 10 2008, 02:08 AM)
180 on 4th gear @ 7k RPM. This is believe. I tried on elite highway, slighly above 6.5k rpm the redline i was at 170 already.

One thing i dont like is that, after it shifts into 5th gear or after 160kph, the pick up is not there anymore.

Very diff from my old lude, 3rd gear whack until 180 and 4th all the way to 230.
*
The gear ratio for 5th is designed for overdrive. And when we shift, its not fast enough and the rpm fall to almost below 4k rpm (CPS disengange). Short shifter anyone? brows.gif

I was quoted by the SC:

1. Blank Immobilizer Key - Rm111
2. Transponder - Rm33 x 2 [1 for new key and another for the spare key i am using now]
3. Alarm Set - RM220+

Total to be settled under Rm400. Shit man, this is an expensive lesson. If i want to change the whole car key slot, It cost Rm980++, plus all the immobilizer up to Rm1200++

I better install captor then...

Added on May 10, 2008, 9:15 amJust called up CAPTOR, they told me it wont void the warranty, for CAPTOR RF - Rm1688 for proton car....

Added on May 10, 2008, 9:15 amI was told by the SC Damansara Jaya that they couldn't reprogram the ICU but only with the new Transponder arrive they can recode the whole thing synchronizing with the ECU.
*
Time to install Captor I think. icon_rolleyes.gif

Guys,

After 1k service, the next one is 5k service right? Why the SC state in the resit, the next oil change(servise remark) will be at 6k plus? Does it mean that SC wont change it at my 5k servise? icon_question.gif
*
The sytem automatically add 5k km to your current mileage as your next service. Just go service at 5k km. nod.gif

short shifter wont help much, racing clutch will flex.gif
*
My previous ride use shortshift. Not necessarily faster shifting, but more 'accurate' feel and less 'springy' feel. Look nicer oso. Changing racing clutch is not advisable. One, it will void your warranty. 2nd, waste money, clutch still new. But the most important factor is, you will curse yourself in traffic jam. laugh.gif

The single din has detachable face plate. thumbup.gif The only problem it will obstruct the aircon vent, unless being intsalled at the lower din.

I got myself the Kit wax for 0-2 years paint job... But the best now is likt the Turtle Wax ICE... no need to wax, haze and wipe... just wax and wipe... no powdery residue like normal wax... but RM 90++ 1 btl...
*
That what he said, no white residue.. Suitable for dark coloured car. But for RM90, I'll just stick with my Soft99. laugh.gif

Try Meguiar's product tongue.gif
ROXXOR!!

Powdery residue mostly depends on how thick you applied the wax smile.gif
If its thin then most of the residue will stick to the cloth and you wont notice any loose ones....
*
Its does not matter thin or thick, the problem is, the wax got into gap between bumpers and also between rubber. Those are the problem as it hard to be removed.

Welcome. Sorry to hear bout the accident. Better post some picture here so the other sifu can provide advise. nod.gif

QUOTE(Lim Ling Yang @ May 11 2008, 07:00 PM)
You spamming too much already if the residue is alot inside. Just use a VERY VERY thin layer when you wax.It is useless to put a thick layer of wax because in the end you are wiping it off only leaving a thin layer on it. Even if got residue inside you wont notice it cause it is VERY VERY little.
And also you can use a extra soft toothbrush to clean anything in gaps.
No white residue liquid wax doesnt mean it is more suitable for black cars......in fact paste wax looks nicer than liquid wax on black or white or any colour and it is cheaper.(You use alot less.)

Where you bought the clarion? Been to Brothers KJ, no Clarion HU there. Does the steering audio control still works and does it plays Divx video? hmm.gif

i bought it at seremban, jln temiang.. they are clarion authorized distributor.. i've asked them about the latest hu.. including the one that u want (dvd 1 din with small display)... but its not out yet...i'll change to the latest when they are out... bout the audio control.. nope its not working unless u add the module which will cost another 300++... maybe i'll add on later. and nope.. it can't play divx.. but i think..its ok la for the price u pay.. normally it will cost >3k for 2din touchscreen that can play divx

http://www.clarion.com/au/en/products/2007...1866245619.html
*
Need to add another nodule for steering control? I think better go with Kenwood. 1-Din with motorized display, touchscreen and can play divx only RM2888. If go for D/Din, only RM2799. The cheapest is Panasonic, RM2699 for the single din motorized display.

I prefer Sony, but the price is RM3499. cry.gif Maybe I'll go for the Kenwood. Atleast can upgrade as GPS (add another 1k++) and the most important thing is that, it is a Divx certified player (all my mtv, movie, anime is in divx). laugh.gif

Only Clarion can use the steering control, but need to add another module (according to one members). Most Kenwood Visual Multimedia HU can add GPS, but for that price, better get a stand alone device. laugh.gif
