Proton SA told me not to tint my Waja because JPJ will be enforcing the
ban on tinting real soon. He said the UV protection on standard Waja
glass is good enough..... any truth to that? or should i go ahead with
tinting anyway?

You don't have the UV marking issit?

Well, anyone can say that their tint is Proton approved. But who cares, as long as it JPJ complaint.

I have a habit to never trust 100% what the SA says. If cannot tint, ask him for other freebies in exchange for the tint voucher.

when i got my waja, i straight away felt it needed tinting even though it has UV shield. Mine was Ecotint Raybarrier did it at USJ. highly recommended

btw, i also learn my leason to always doubt what SA says.. i was promised my car on Friday, paid cash downpayment on monday. It was only on the following Thursday I got my car! always call ur SA and check what he's up to..

Actually, its not recommended to straightaway tint your car. Should wait 1 week. The reason are:

1. Let you find any defect in PW system. If go tint then only realized, maybe cannot claim warranty. The Ecotint shop at USJ will check your car 1st before start tinting to avoid these kind of problem.

2. The newly installed glass has some kind of oil that can cause imperfect tint. It will disappeared in about 1 week time. This what the tint shop told me.

eh..guys... just want to ask anyone using AT, can u see a display on the right meter panel ( just beside the auto cruise symbol ).. it show TC, that means traction control... do waja have TC fitted too? not sure whether MT got this symbol or not.
