u guys know what, the bearing of my 3max 4 point strut i bought from a shop in bangi 4 months ago was damaged today.

and guess what, the salesman there told me that there's no warranty for the bearing??!!  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif  He told me that they only warranty the steel bar...

Then i told him if the steel bar only might as well dont give warranty at all... what could possibly happen to the bar??!!!

I was like wtf?!!!  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif  I scolded them and told them that the bearing comes with the bar, so it should be included in the warranty.

Finally they asked me to come tomorrow and they will help me fix it.  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

I was thinking maybe i should contact the manufacturer and report about this dealer...  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

that's why... i got in touch with miragers, he will try forward my complaint to 3max manufacturer.

here's the pics of the damaged bearing, driver side. left side still looks ok at the moment.
*
the bearing is to allow ur absorber to twist when u turn ur steering...

but remember, during cornering, most force will be transfered to the struts.... adding bearing there sure will damage the bearing lor....

thinking to change my LMST's stock extractor.. any good recommendations ? so many type out there not sure which one gives the best balance for FC , performance and noise level wink.gif saw some of them had ceramique coating on it..does it really help or its just looks ?
*
extractor wont affect noise.... only performance and perhaps fuel consumption.... get 4-2-1 extractor.... good low end torque, reasonable smoothness at high end....

ceramic coating is not jz for looks.... it traps the heat inside the extractor, allowing hot gases to escape faster out from the exhaust.... besides, it lowers the engine bay temperature....

Last night I tested the UTR SFOEM air filter and K&N air filter. Both of us exchanged the air filter and use. And you know what? No different. Both air filter giving more smooth revving and more smooth when climbing hill.. Both air filter also can be cleaned. while UTR is cheaper. Now I feel regret edi. Spend more money but get same outcome.  sweat.gif

nvm la... buy adi dun think so much... laugh.gif

can we use external fuel pump arr? any side effect?

u gv us the list for parts that nid to change to efi lar. so that we will not kong by ppl lar......
*
use external fuel pump no problem la... but recommended buy new one coz second ones are less efficient.... u dont revving hard halfway, fuel pump break down... causing ur engine to kaboom rite??..

efi list...
- intake manifold
- fuel pump / efi fuel tank
- injectors n fuel rail
- wiring n ecu
- o2 sensor and other necessory sensor
- efi distributor
- fuel filter

what else ah sifoo singchaii??...

QUOTE(singchaii @ Jun 22 2008, 09:06 AM)
How many people here is really serious wanna change to efi kit? If really, then I will help you guy get it BUT, you guy need to bank in deposit for me once I got those stuff..
*
me me... but how much first??...

QUOTE(calvin @ Jun 22 2008, 09:46 AM)
ah okay then.. and does the brands (powerzone, hotbits) make any difference as well ? i've seen most cars that have done extractor mod got their heatshield removed as well, is it compulsory?

any recommended places to get this done ? hmm.gif
*
most people remove heatshield coz their old heatshield no longer fit with aftermarket extractor... it is recommended to use heatshield lar....

u can diy one like this...

pistons can tahan,...then the engine block how?  unsure.gif
the UTR filter is dry rite? (no oil)
*
mayb the turbo piston he mentioned is low compression piston only... good for forced induction engine.... not forged piston la...
yea, UTR is dry stainless steel filter...

went to get my strut bar's bearing changed just now. Miragers was there to watch and report the outcome to the 3max manufacturer.

Even the workshop foremen admitted that this bar should be replaced. The bearing will definitely crack again, but since the accessories shop boss said that he dont mind replacing the bearing again and again and again, I just kept quiet and accept this 'short term' remedy.

Next time the bearing crack, Miragers offered to get replacement for me, event though i didnt buy the bar from him. wink.gif The newer bar will have a better housing with proper damper for the bearings to absorb the vibrations.
*
so troublesome each time bearing KO need to go and replace.... shakehead.gif

QUOTE(singchaii @ Jun 22 2008, 01:14 PM)
But one thing I wanna say here.. No matter you use K&N or UTR, your carburetor also will spoile in the future as it claimed by proton itself. that the reason why proton void the warranty if using aftermarket air filter. K&N filter got oil 1 meh? Why my K&N look dry only?  hmm.gif

Just came back from the challenger. See satria club and vsixer club have their TT there...

I just curious to know, how much does the 3max bar cost? Cause now I see the price list of 3MAX, the price is slightly different that Ultra Racing. And I just installed the UR rear strut bar, and I see the 3max rear strut bar price, the 3max is more expensive. Why? Now 3max have better quality and more solid that ultra racing already?
*
K&N got oil one lah... ur one looks dry because insufficient oil... but dont need to reoil so much la... as u said, oil might go into ur carburetor and dirty it...
