It's not in BROD. Just the screen being illuminated. I emailed SE and they said that it was a software problem and asked me to reflash the software. I did and now, still the same thing.

I think the connector for the LCD's backlight has short-circuited. Guess I really have to send it for warranty now. Ahh crap. No phone. ~_~ Damn you K850i. DAMN YOU!!!!

hi all,
i hv a question: my fren planning to buy a 2nd hand midland set K850i,the seller told her its a 1mth old set bt he doesnt have the receipts to prove it,and as far as im concern,for midland set,the date of purchase is not stated at the back of the phone (the battery compartment),so how can my fren check the actual purchase date of the phone? if she call up S.E service centre and give them the imei of the phone can the staff there tell her the date of purchase? IMEI no do not related to purchase date.
When u send the phone to SE authorized SC, they will ask for warranty card. |

AP set Luminous Green [rm1150] + 4gb micro sd] pls add me 2 the list ^^ i've used k850i for 3 weeks..overall the phone is great 4 me..especially the camera, media player, the design [although nit some times 2 master the keypad] i've mine updated to the latest firmware on the 1st day i bought it..update went on smoothly. the speed of media player is slightly increase after upgrading the latest firmware there r some cons that i would like 2 state here: 1. texting is way too slow 2. same prob as experienced by other k850i user..the theme automatic switch to crystal theme.. [3rd time for 3 weeks] 3. the sound from the speaker got a bit ‘pecah’ .. 4. loudspeaker not loud enuf. hard 2 listen 2 caller when driving 5. lip-sync prob wif the the converted flv video form youtube [hope they will fix it soon] btw..i’ve skinned my k850i for rm50..=.= front n rear..handcrafted  This post has been edited by jrmy02: Jun 2 2008, 02:22 AM |

er...da pecah pecah sound i meant is when playin music via speaker..
loudspeaker is ok overall..it's jz when i used loudspeaker when im driving..da loudspeaker is not loud n is not clear enuf..i cant hear it due 2 some noises from the traffic.. which 1 do u mean?the phone o da protector? btw..wats so gd bout kd player? in da aspect of design o music quality?
