"Dump" means the old syllabus materials, being phase out, but still % relevant to the new syllabus.

Actually sharing ebooks is fine. But definitely not dumps. When you start to work and you get surrounded by a bunch of fresh "CCNA's" who ask questions like "what's VLAN?" or "whats subnet?", only then you'll realize how much damage these question dumps have done. Btw, my previous instructor was a dump user also (he self-confessed laugh.gif), which explains the poor ability to explain theories mentioned in the book. So for those who wanted to attend class, better check on the background of the instructor before you make a move. Make sure the instructor has at least 3 years experience in the industry

Btw, if you insist on advocating dumps, then carry on rclxms.gif

y u say is all dump? It is all useful material for the student to undestand!! Video, make your understanding more better. Testing kIng, improve your Q & A. What wrong? It all about extra matreail to further understanding. Just the people don't know how to use it, or vilate the useage is called dump!! The people dunno to subnet is actually dump to have ccna. The site, the ebook, the video have teach how to subnet, just the problem they did nto understand, you want to blame the website for free ebook sharing or etc? This is up to their effort to become better understanding of what they all reading.

Like i said, I've nothing against ebooks and stuff, just the dumps. p4s, testking and stuffs like that are the dumps that i meant. Actually, dumps doesnt improve your q&a, its plain cheating coz its the exact copy of the paper. I've heard numerous times CCNA candidates saying how easy and effortless it is to pass it coz they use p4s. Best part is, one of the candidates couldnt even login to the simulated router during the test. He was blaming the keyboard is broken coz when he type the password, nothing appears in the password field (i assume he's thinking there should be some chars like **). And yeah, that guy just clicked next and skipped the sim question coz he said the sim's not working. Zero practise, only memorizing i assume, yet he still passed the test despite skipping the sim which carries most marks. Why he passed? Bcoz the dumps have the exact copy of the question bank.

There's no doubt that the value of ccna/ccnp is fast dropping due to dumps (ccie following suit), which explains why cisco came up with a cert thats lower that ccna itself, while revamping the ccna syllabus by adding more stuff in it. But can this really combat the dumps? I dont think so, coz dumps are updated so frequently, that no matter what cisco do to combat it they still can catch up quickly.

Anyway, my point is quite simple. Sharing ebooks and study materials is ok (not that ok actually, coz its breaching copyrights stuff tongue.gif. but then not every student can afford books from multiple publishers), but definitely not dumps. I've got nothing against you personally ok?

I didnt read ebooks, only the real sybex 5th edition book. But yeah, i do prefer ebooks now coz these books are expensive. The only thing i can say is that it consumes time tongue.gif. Of course the book alone isnt enough, so quite alot of googling involved as well. Oh and i use routersim and boson last time for practise. Buggy+limited sims, but then I've got no choice coz there's just 1 router and 1 switch in the lab, and its a 2500 series laugh.gif

CCNA can do self-study(offical curriculum and sybex materials) + router simulation tools (free download from internet).

am not sure which training centre has good trainers (CCIE certified?)

hey guyz....CCNA only valid for 3 yrs after passing the exam. So is it worth it to take this certification?
I'm interested to take one but after thinking of participating for 6 to 8 months then few thousands of fees...but in the end it only can last for 3 yrs ...that means have to re take the exam again.
Pls advice
