need help here, cant connect to any trackers that are using port other than 80. how to solve it ? cant get any peers to connect

the version of xunlei you are using is ?
the torrent file is from ? (private tracker or public tracker)
DHT ? (any returns)
Time waited from start of download ?
firewall and antivirus ?
router status or direct connection ?

.327 is a good version.
did u tamper with any of the settings ? tcp 1/2 open ?
can u try a different torrent file ? try from www.dattebayo.com

are u behind a router ?
win XP or Vista ?
i dont think its the firewall. any antivirus running in the background ? or prob some extra stuff we need to know bout ?
did u enable upnp ?

there is a antivirus software running in the background

i try the torrent file, but it connect to tracker using port 8080, wait for whole day, still cant connect

Did you try other torrent file?

Did you checked out the torrent seeders and leechers?

try to add in some new tracker that using port 80, it works. but for other port, like 8080, 8000, 6969, all cant. any idea on how to fix it ?

public tracking torrents dont work that way.

anyway i'll let HeHeHunter resolve this for you. consult him and give him as much information as he needs to help you out.

guys, i wanna use Xunlei too. but then i'm confused with so many versions. mind to tell me which version is the most stable and easy to use? i'm a noob in BT. and the installer i downloaded from hehehunter's blog is in 乱码, don't dare to install la....how ar?

I don't think tracker could do that.

get any version from my site, there are ample guides there.

i think gerard meant to say is, he thinks that only the people on port 80 can upload to him since he set it to port 80. thats why i told him/her thats not the way things work.

@HeHeHunter - the latest few versions are really buggy. can u not upload those buggy versions and offer only stable ones ? or put a small notation in to let people know which version is actually a stable built.

i suppose sharkteef suggestion is good
the version before the latest is quite alright - the one i'm using
altho i think the older version is better

I don't even know which one is stable.
But 327 is easy to handle.

what i mean is i have to use port 8080 to connect to the tracker, but it dont works, i typed netstat in command prompt, the connection seems hanging there waiting for reply .... no peers returned at all. the tracker url looks like this
http://...........:8080/announce

if tracker doesnt specify which port, then it did return some peers

i find that .400 onwards is really troublesome.
ever since i got .327 from u i didnt bother with the rest until i formated my comp and installed the latest. thats when my headaches began. reverted back to .327 and i'm going to stick with it all the way through.

how many seeders and downloaders on your tracker for that file ? if it's less than 100 seeds, its going to be hell.
and a friendly reminder, it has to be public tracking torrent files. i've tested a few on private tracked torrents, it wont perform the same as public. i cant figure out why. will run some more tests on it.

5.7.12.493<--- latest version got few bugs so far , i try emule ,bt and direct download work for many days no problem.
Still prefer 5.7.7.441 which work great all the times for me.
