Wondering, are there any Muslim restaurant around there?
Coz need to bring a couple of Muslim friends, and they were reluctant to go to non-Muslim restaurant. Sigh told them dy, they are eating seafood, no such thing as halal non-halal, haih..

May I ask if the pork free restaurants in P Ketam are well accepted by muslim community similar to those chinese operated pork free restaurant bagan hailam/port dickson and etc? the chicken/beef they serve is from halal source? no froggy or terrapin on menu?

Planning to organise a department's day trip there and seafood lunch is one of the main attractions.

Thanks in advance.

pork free is not halal... better find yourself a 100% halal restaurant even if there's only 10% of muslim in ur dept... even some muslim don eat the ketam batu...

Not worth the travelling time from my personal experiences, as I was brought there a couple times by my customers from klang who are 'ketam kia' many years ago.
Dunno about now, but fresh water has to be bought from the mainland as the island doesn't have it's own source of supply.

Sorry, but to me the food are so so only. The food is cheap if you compare KL standards, but to me I think they are not so fresh. Morever, its like their crabs are 2nd grade to crabs sold in KL, thats why you can get them at cheaper price. But it is worthwhile to take a day trip there just tour sake.

Really ah? must be bad timing for me then. Anyway, heard from locals that it is a popular transit place for indon illegals.
