Here are some of the photos taken during my last visit to Pulau Ketam"

Joining the locals using the slow -pot-pot chun (he-he slow ferry) ...Slow but more open air view & stopping at more jetties compare wth the speedy aircon ferry (BTW..same price!! mad.gif )

Here is the spedy ferry & our slow ferry reaching one of many jetties around Pulau Ketam...(Not sure in the photo is Sg Lima or Pulau Ketam settlement hmm.gif )

Approaching to P Ketam, saw one of the only 2 motels in the island:

The Maybank in P Ketam is not new..It was there during my 1st visit ~1993.... biggrin.gif during that time u even can see motorbikes around..now banned due to numerous accidents happening in that settlement...BTW, it's a gigantic stilt settlement...not really a small kampung

No wave wan unless storm. There are 2 types of ferries - The antique open air type as per the above photo & those aircon type simialr to pangkor & Sibu in Sarawak.

Those aircon type faster but hv to wait. Not sure the schedule. ticket pay once you board the ferry- i.e like the olden day bus ticketing system - conductor will go & collect from you!

Caution for ppl who go Pulau Ketam.. better take the aircond speedboat rather than the fisherman big boat which is cheaper..but the length hour comparison.. duh!! damn so long almost 1 hour to reach Pulau Ketam!!! Last time I kena spoilt my trip onli!! sad.gif

there is a way for you to press your fingers against your hands to prevent seasickness. also good for people with morning sickness. no pills involved. just your bare hands. all natural.

Used to work there so the pictures gave memories.

If you were a teacher or student there you can get discounted price for the boat fee.. speedboat = RM4.00 woodenboat = RM2.
Enjoyed for 2 years. brows.gif

Most delicious dish I could remember was the crab served in the Lok Hian Restorant. Spicy sweet sauce with mixture of eggs....sweet crabs with no smell...yumyum.
