Naturally, matches that caught my attention were FFF vs ESP.

Got one more match. Quite close call also. Can't remember between who and who.

got all the other esp's screaming for victory which finally they got it at hq.....
it was a close shave at tdm and ff made a great comeback at snd............

Unfortunately HQ went down real bad,but good try nonetheless.

Oh well, it was still fun, playing with other people and making friends with some.

I hope we'll have another CoD4 tourney again. Maybe with Sabo mode. Lol, its an extremely funny mode when teams run left and right for the bomb.

Experienced gamer or not, marshals still depend somewhat on other observers of the game. I remember that during one of the ESP matches, a spectator informed a marshal that the opposing team was using 2 custom slots. They were subsequently issued a warning.

That worked cos the marshals can't possibly enforce every rules even more so when the rules are quite subjective, e.g. no talking when u r dead in SnD, but what about whispering? signalling?. No screaming? How loud before it is considered a scream?

I personally think when no one else complains and if the participants don't outright break the rules, the play can go on. Yeah this part is a little outrageous, but hey there is only 1 marshal to 10 gamers!

However, it is true the marshals need to know the game beforehand and have some form of experience in marshaling..

Anyway, next part of the tournament starts at 2pm today! The Grand Finals, lets go support our local COD4 tournaments!

i'll look into that. thanks for highlighting it. but i have to admit that my marshalls new jack shit as they were supplied to me by a 3rd party. i had no other choice... but this tourney will remind me to get more experienced marshalls. i would want to get CoD4 gamers to marshall but everyone's so keen on playing.

thanks for understanding. most annoying were the public/spectators accessing the servers. i couldn't enforce a password system as it was troublesome, communicating to all the teams. i am already losing a little of voice as of this morning. should get a voice hailer (is that how its spelt)

btw, which one was u? n, i wanted to joke about Dead6's team name but i didnt since everyone looked so Dead serious....

will consider. i might have a mamak session with everyone interested to determine an update on the rules sometime later this month.

anyhow, the finals quarter, semis and finals are happening later. it's going to be an exciting match and i have been asked to record the final matches. let's hope i'll be able to since the recording will require EVERY individual player recording it.

I don't mind marshaling, lol, if my team loses early. xD

Well kingkong, you could actually include the password in the general info on this tourney, and ask that each leader/player check for the standard password. Cause i doubt public people will actually care to read, much less memorize the password.

I do agree that some of the rules have to be tighten though, but perhaps the usage of 2-3 custom classes cause CoD 4 is all about being different.

Despite the minor troubles during the tournament, it's a good thing that the participants conducted themselves well. Too bad it can't be the same with some forum members in this thread.

well i had to admit some of the teams are just randomly picked up and there were less training.. mine to b excat..... it was a last min plannin. and oh god lol~ feeeding spree... and my whole team just looked up high on me .

wahhh which means we NRA not so bad right.. we lose very very closely with fusion.. we lose about 100 points in crash, we win back in snd and we lose 255 - 220 in hq.. it was intense.. i did my best in hq.. but oh well, they manage to capture the last hq... i wanna thanks all my teammates for all the hardwork! We can beat fusion one day if we decide to train together.. (it was a good teamwork for a last minute clan) Noob Rules!!

The match between your team (NRA) and Fusion was very interesting to watch. It was so close.

It was something really incredible to watch when you guys were playing HQ. I was on the edge of my seat, as the scores were so close.
