ssh/ use iphonebrowser & connect to phone

the files shall be in /Library/Themes.. in our case, it shall be /Library/Themes/Zunda

browse the Zunda & edit the Dock.png files with photoshop

Winterboard is really cool.

The latest version of Winterboard comes with Saurik's theme. This theme has 2 pictures fading in and out.

If you wanna have your own pictures. Try this.

1. go to /Library/Themes/Saurik
2. make a backup of it to your HD. Make another copy and rename the folder to your liking.
3. Click on the folder. In the folder, there's 2 folders.
a) Bundles
b) Private
Private is where the pictures are stored.
4. Open the wallpaper.html with safari, firefox etc and view the source code.
5. Copy the source code to a txt editor.
6. Look for this code.

<img src="Rock.png" id="rock"/>
<img src="Plant.png" id="plant"/>

<script>
var fade_in = rock;
var fade_out = plant;

Do take note on the big and small letters used. Rename them according to your picture names. (your pictures has to been in 320X480 png format)

Example:

<img src="Picturea.png" id="picturea"/>
<img src="Pictureb.png" id="pictureb"/>

<script>
var fade_in = picturea;
var fade_out = pictureb;

7. Put your png pictures to the Private folder.
8. Save the txt file as Wallpaper.html and place it to your folder. Preview it on your browser before uploading it to your phone and see the fades.
9. upload and place it in /Library/Themes/
10. Select your theme and respring.

i prefer use the normal(w/out effect)
much faster i think.. & if im not mistaken, this winterboadr also can change the font of iphone brows.gif

ps: the winterboadr been fix & working perfectly now, no more black box

That latest winterboard just dont work on my 2.1... how come? installed thru cydia... once installed and restarted, none of the said default saurik's themes is on d list... list are just blank with tiny hair lines.... tried to dL Zunda themes and also didnt appeared on the list after respring...

Googling around tell me to copy the .plist from winterboard.apps to preference but those also aint working... as far as i understood, this version 0.9.2520-2 is the latest one as at 13.08.08 that fix these mess but i am yet to enjoy them...

Any other tips?

Hey JasLyn, try downloading a theme. For example, in cydia, look for Time of Day theme (automatically switches between five wallpapers based on the time of day! It determines the time of day based on the time set on your iPhone). Install and see if it appears in winterboard.

Cuba try test the theme and see if it works.

Waaa.. its not there in cydia nomore ah? i mean, winterboard is on the list but once i press install, the statistic showing:-

Downloading : 0.0B
Resuming : 0.0B
Disk Using : 0.0B

What happened? oh ya, during the uninstallation before, the file read 0.0B on my phone.... But on SSH, that apps do exist in it.. weird....

Added on August 13, 2008, 4:19 pmI'll go ahead installing that 0.0B and see what it gets to....

Added on August 13, 2008, 4:22 pmit runs downloading and installing... but after reboot, there is still no default saurik's theme on the list.... its still blank same old blank with tiny hairline...

I'll proceed to d.L time of day and see what i get....

Hmmm..let try this. If you have any themes in your Pc HD, SSH into /Library/Themes/

Launch Winterboard and see if the theme you uploaded is there.

Here's the saurik's theme.

Can you please give me the full directory to place that themes? by default, there is already "Saurik.theme" inside this directory (/private/var/stash/Themes) and the contents of Saurik.theme is same as your uploaded files... along in the Themes folder, there is also some other folder named Time of Day which i have downloaded earlier using cydia.... but it just dont work... Untill now, Saurik is still a gay boy rclxub.gif

The main themes actually should reside in

root/Library/Themes/

For this : /private/var/stash/Themes/

i think is a copy of the themes.. btw, i have attached the themes and do SSH them to the

root/Library/Themes/
