hi everyone,

i've just bought this hk9100 @ the price of rm838.
played around and like it very much. worth the price.

the only thing it doesn't have is wifi, video call & 3g.
by the way, how do we add motion games or java games?
i mean no need to do the installing.

if gt wifi ... juz wifi ... i will stright without thinking and buy it... still looking for one! if it support java, why not ?!

- transfer jar file to the phone
- select to install
- games will be installed in 'Fun & Games' --> Java

I suppose you have to install in order to use

Added on June 26, 2008, 12:24 amI am not sure where you mean by "selected default", is it through customize user profiles (eg. General) -->Tone setup -->Incoming Call ??

tested so far it won't follow the ringtone set here, any idea? if that is the case I rather dun use the contact group as need to manually set ringtone to each of them. The purpose to set contact group is to ease sms sending.

is there any software for convert wmv,avi,rm & etc to mp4,mp3 or 3gp?
what i mean its a easy to use one. the hk9100 only support those 3 above.

side question, what actual model this hk9100 similar to china phone?
any software that can read its program rom? hacking the phone of course

additional info, i just came to know that this phone once in tv mode it can search for other stuff like vcd or dvd.
while i'm at a local nasi kandar stall today, happend that they played bollywood dvd & coincidentally i search some tv channel then i discovered this feature. it could only display the pictures but sound rendering is not so good.

Added on June 26, 2008, 10:00 ami guess you'll have to wait as i've spoken to the hk9100 technical specialist yesterday. he claims that they are trying to include it in the upcoming phone. but no dateline were given.

user of hk9100 are able to upgrade their phone function for free also in future (if there is), according to rick ky the specialist.

Other stuff:

This phone audio player can show lyric of your MP3 or other audio file.

Just go internet to search for your song lyric in .lrc file.

The lyric actually is a text file with .lrc extension.

Just put the lrc file in the same folder of your MP3, then rename it same as your MP3 file name.

After all, at the Audio Player setting, set Lyrics Display option to "On", then the lyric will be shown at the place where the player show the MP3 file name.

Remember, do not name your MP3 file name too long, the player will show your MP3 file name and lyric together,
which in about one second time, it show lyric, after 1 second, it show the file name, after that it show again the lyric and on and on.

which is very annoying


And, the space to show the lyric is not enough.
You only can see part of the lyric.

but for groups....U need to select it manually....once u had add all the members in a group (eg.Family) then u select the ringtones for the particular group.

Btw,may I know wat are the games u have in this HP? I only got Magicsushi....or can u tell me where can Download the games for this HP? many thanks!

The game by default is magicsushi & dice for motion games.
Try searching games thru google by typing "jar games".
Game screen resolution should be 240x320 (fully fit the screen).

For all who want to install Java Game, any java game that suite for Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola or other brand phone can install on HK9000 or HK9100.


The main problem about the Java game here is the speed when running the Java Application.

It run very slow compare to other brand phone.

The bigger the JAR file, the slower the application.

For 320x240 Java game, which almost more than 500kb is very very slow.

So, it is advised to install Java game below 200kb.

By the way, it support game with lower resolution: 176x 220, 128 x 128, 208 x 208, up to 320 x 240.

for those contact which I set to other 'group' (eg.family), ia have to manually set ringtone to each of them one by one from the contact list, very tedious. anyway to set ringtone once for the whole group instead of one by one?

Is simple only...u add all the members in group (eg.family) then later u set the caller group tone. (provided tat each individual has no caller tone set)

Steps:

Phone Book > Caller Group > Family > Member List > Add (add the members)

Once u had add members in "Family", u set the tone for the group (with the music logo) then u click DONE.

Have anyone of you ever tried out installing Maxis Mobile Instant Messaging (similar to IM)?
Somehow I've tried it & it won't work...

Additional to that, I'm a CIMBclicks user. CIMB offers services like mobile banking. Tried installing java base banking services but fail with error message "The AP files cannot be verified" the exit from GPRS!!!

I wonder what's wrong???

thanks dude. my mistake, i used to go to phone book through the short cut key without knowing there is actually a whole bunch of options availble if you go through the main menu instead ... at least now I know the problem is the user but not the phone haha..

you can easily get in any HKV shops in Penang since few months back, and now the price drop already..if not mistaken only RM500+ (no free memory/micro SD card)..

he did mention its hkv, not htc..

btw i thought hkv produced dvd player and speakers..
