im not sure but previously the hr recruiting manager told me that if they didnt reach u after 2 weeks, u can consider yourself not selected

QUOTE(mumeichan @ Aug 26 2013, 09:12 PM)
I've just read many pages of this thread. Are my conclusions about this program acccurate?

1. Many people are interested in this program
2. Many of who done it hate it because of long working hours, below avg pay and nasty managers
3. Alot of people want non-sales posting, but are offered sales posting.
4. Often the HR isn't upfront when they want you for sales
5. Sales posting means bank teller?
6  No one mentions what departments exactly non-sales posting are (except for credit analysis)

So what I am really curious is which department or departments do the non-sales trainees work at?
*
1. yeah
2. long working hours is correct especially in hire purchase centre, pay is ok ok la 2.8k starting. my manager is kind hearted and nurturing
3. i think this one is correct because the non sales job got low turnover rate
4. nope. they asked me whether i want sales or non sales job
5. sales position depends on where u will be posted. if it is in hire purchase centre, u will be a sales & marketing officer
5. in hire purchase centre, u got processing, collection and compliance department.

*
try 1st bro, it is fun being a marketing officer in hire purchase biggrin.gif

QUOTE(mumeichan @ Aug 27 2013, 03:31 AM)
I see, so in other words, for the non-sales posting, you're basically being trained to be a bank/branch manager, am I right?
*
basically, yeah smile.gif

If I'm interested in other jobs at the PB HQ like their financial services/investment/accounting/hr, what route do I use? Is there a similar trainee program or are they different types of entry level positions specific to those departments?
*
i do not know, but i do know that only sales n marketing job are available as the turnover rate is very high, thus a lot of vacancy

Yea, also depend on what your studies about
Maybe you are not very interested in sales related position
I don't mind for sales job if I am allocated to the branch near my house, because i can go back home in short time even i work until late
*
8.45 - 9.30 daily. U are not entitled to any ot if u are an exec. If u are a sales exec, u need to fulfill any target given to u. For hire purchase loans, u need to hit at least 1.5 million per month.

If any of your loan goes bad, u will be in trouble. 24/7 non stop phone calls from client, salesman, colleague n your boss.

U shall also work on the weekend if u didnt achieve your target. If u did not achieve your annual target, please forget about your annual increment and bonus. U will get 0.

A lot of people i know working in pbb for more than 20 years, their salary is merely 5k

No blue form dy. I went in before no fill in what blue form also. Lol
GL in HP dept. HP workload sucks. Because the system doesnt shutdown, unlike if ure in credit analyst, the system will shutdown at 9 lidat. SO wan work pun cannot. And since public bank famous for its speed in processing loans, guess who will be the one suffering.  tongue.gif
It is commission based, if not why work so hard lol. Only jobs such as credit analyst is not commission based.
*
Im sorry bro but i think u are wrong. Even if u achieved 100% of your assigned target, u will receive only your basic salary in the end of the month

working in one of the hpc for a year. cant disclose more biggrin.gif but what i know is the workload is killing me

to be completely honest with u, i am sad when i see all my seniors especially the marketing personnel. they spend almost 10 - 20 years of their life begging for cases from salesman cry.gif

lol wtf 30 cases per day. it is almost impossible to process 20, let alone 30 on a day

in my place, max cases per day is around 10 for 1 po. even got 1 po only process 4-6 cases only rclxms.gif

i am also thinking of leaving, lets see how it goes for the next 1 or 2 months
