QUOTE(tishaban @ Apr 14 2008, 10:30 PM) I personally feel Wendy's is better than Carl's Jr. I like the sauce combination better and I feel that the beef patty doesn't seem so much like it came from a freezer and was slapped on a bun. The bun could be fresher though, and it looked like the staff was struggling a bit to meet the Monday lunch crowd which wasn't a lot. Ramly burger is cheap and good la ... Burger Special only selling for RM3.80 at my area ... lolx .... Carl's Jr Portobello mushroom pawns all the burgers which I have eaten so far ... the juice from the mushroom is like so sweet ... xDMcD has never really been my standard for burgers. Ramly and Chilli's is probably what I consider the gold standard |

kinda iritate to see the rubbish bin being placed near the washing hands area there. placed so small. yet they wanna put it there. the worker will be there to clean up the tray and therefore will block the customer's way. hmmmmmm

I tried Carl Jr. really nice the burger ...
I like the size ... not like McD ... I need to get additional cheese burger to full myself ... Wendy's ... going to try it out one day ... I agreed wif many ppl that the price for fast food nowaday really expensive ... to haf fast food for 2 that cost RM40 is too much ... I like fast food ... but as we all know that fast food is unhealthy food ... if u watched 'Super Size Me Up' then u know wat the harm of fast food ... As for the J.Co or Big Apple donut ... i totally pass on it ... tried once (force by my GF to get a few) ... been nagging me for a long time so we end up queuing up for 30min to get 6 donut ... surprisingly when we had it ... i cant stop laughing ... wat kind of donut is that ... it taste weird ... i laugh at my GF for nagging for this kind of donuts ... she oso agree it taste weird ... that time is J.Co ... will try to Big Apple one day n see how good is the donut ... I personally feel the normal bakery's donuts is the best ... those with sugar on top ... in my opinion, y all these shop is packed with ppl ... i think malaysian juz wanna follow the trend ... when a shop open n there is ppl lining up to buy the product then everyone oso wanna do the same ... this apply to J.Co, Big Apple & RotiBoy ... another example, like those Hong Kong style restaurants ... is not the food taste damn nice ... is a trend that ppl hang ard there ... as u can c, secret recipe in KL is not that good business ... i know one that is damn good business ... it''s in KK,sabah ... packed with ppl ... all because the the trend make ppl wanna hang ard a nice cafe or restaurant ... I have to agree with the expensive fast food. I think it started with Subway, charging RM20+ for a large meal. Then Carl's Jr came, now it's Wendy's. Is it nice? Yes, to a certain extent. Is it worth it? Hell no in my opinion, I'd rather get served at Chilli's or TGIF for about the same amount of money with better food, ambiance and service overall. Or if I want cheap, I ask Ramly to do it.
Still, choice is good. Let's see how business goes for these places. |

I doubt the Wendy's burgers in KL will taste as good as the burgers served by Wendy's in other countries..
Burger sizes served here are too small compared to the same burger served by the same chain but in a different country (out of Asia).. This post has been edited by UE7: Apr 26 2008, 11:26 AM |

QUOTE(SeLrAhC @ Apr 5 2008, 12:35 PM) stop feeding the directors... when i was in the states i never pay a diff price for fast food... whats so special as compared to mcds? ... carls jr n wendys are just another fast food brand... but why are they so exp? because you are subsidising for the director's merc... well one thing i have to mention about starbucks tho, the coffees are awfully expensive. but after drinking them in aussie, and singapore i realized that the prices are relatively the same, adjusted towards the country's exchange rate. which kinda suggested that its not because the directors that own starbucks malaysia that sets the price at that level but instead its the main starbucks people themselves. also one must note that starbucks use their brand of coffee beans which you cannot compare to malaysian brands, you are after all drinking imported branded coffee.maybe you guys are sick of 20-30 years of mcds, kfc,anw... its fine to try new brands... but dont do it too much ... these people are over charging... a fine example is starbucks by berjaya... i wonder how much are berjaya making... its crazy... also on the matter of overcharging and the states, in the states things are a lot different. theres this huge range of burgers that are from the cheap 1 buck to the 6 dollar ones. we dont have that here and we operate in a different market, also note that the mcd's in malaysia have woeful food quality, time and time again i went. their burgers are as cold as ice, their lettuce sometimes come out old, and lets not get to the bread and patty. its also relatively smaller and have got less quality then the other burger outlets in malaysia. actually you can see the pattern, mcd cheap but horrible quality and small, others expensive but better quality and a bigger size. so i guess what rocks your boat, its a choice on the consumers to make This post has been edited by +3kk!: Apr 26 2008, 10:18 PM |

I've tried Wendy's, Burger King, McD and Carl's Junior in the US. The sizes are the same lah. Maybe more options there, but actual sizes of the patty are the same.Burger sizes served here are too small compared to the same burger served by the same chain but in a different country (out of Asia).. |

QUOTE(UE7 @ Apr 26 2008, 11:25 AM) I doubt the Wendy's burgers in KL will taste as good as the burgers served by Wendy's in other countries.. This really dependsBurger sizes served here are too small compared to the same burger served by the same chain but in a different country (out of Asia).. Asians do generally have smaller appetite, there is no point serving a giant size burger if most of the people can't finish it. What's more, it's not healthy to eat too much |
