Hi there,

It's been a while since I left Nilai. Well, i stayed in Hostel for my study time there. It is.....well i should say could be better.

I got a lot of my friends stay outside. Apart from the apartment at the back of the hostel, other places you might need cars or some sort of transportation.

For the apartments behind the hostel, 3 of my friends stay in one apartment and it cost them RM200 per month. Of course, the price quoted is 18 months outdated and it doesn't include the Internet.

I also got friends stay at Melati (right hand side of INTI) in terrace house and it cost them RM750 for the whole house with three rooms and have to pay for electricity, internet, gas and water themselves.

The hostel price always change and I did not paid the hostel fees last time because I was "forced" to be there hence they subsidized us. Staying in hostel is quite "efficient" - can walk to the uni soon, got internet (albeit slow and danger), file sharing (dunno still got or not).

Let me put it this way, if you are there just for A-levels, meaning 12 - 18 months, I would suggest you to stay in hostel. If you are there for your everything, you can start looking, but for now, you can stay in hostel for a sem or two first.

Hope that helps.

During my times, apartments owner of the last 2 block were quite desperate to rent out their apartments. Blck B with some simple furniture is around RM600-700/month that time

So the price for Block E and F were around RM300-400 for non furnish, some furnished units goes for RM400 as well. You don't really need a car for staying there la... the walking distance is like like the last few blocks of hostel room in the campus mah.

Get a bunch of frens, rent a house at Casuarina/Melati ... party 24/7 ... that is college life.

hey, thanks guys. I have settled into INTI now. Staying in Block K currently, single room and the showers are almost always empty (there is only 25 rooms in each floor unlike other blocks).

And keeping with INTI tradition, I'm almost always never in my room. Will be lepak'ing at Block E until 4am with with COPS-CFA pals.

u will definitely love on campus accommodation.. safe and comfortable.. i have stayed in hostel for 1.5years and i am freaking miss that place.. but recently i heard something about poor internet provider and blockage of DC++ (inti most famous p2p).. but overall i could assure u staying in hostel is a great choice.. especially when u hang around with frens during midnite.. smile.gif

The buses travel to LCCT quite often. About once every 20 minutes or so.

Hostel environment is awesome. If safety is important to you, then there is no other choice besides the hostel.Desa Palma is not safe at all. Also, when you live on campus you find yourself hanging out with friends more, which is a good thing.

Internet has certainly improved since the students complained. I notice that the internet speed has improved but I'm not sure about downloading, never tried it. Yup, INTI never sleeps. The only time you sleep is on the couch at the CC biggrin.gif

2, N9

I know it's not related, but these 2 places ... bad experience man ...

N9 I got robbed, Police didn't do anything .... (The robber was related to a MP from a govt Party)

Johor, ex gf got raped Rapist was son of a MP in Johor, Police didn't do anything. (Even when evidence was given)

Haih ... but thanks to INTI employment was smooth sailing ~~~

I am going to INTI this Wednesday, last minute registration. Bad news is that accomodation is not available for me until Monday. So i might miss the orientation.
If you are current or ex-students, can you tell me anything important during the orientation week? Is it compulsory to attend?
Im staying at KL so travelling to and fro would be very costly and tiring for me if i have to go and return for the few days...
Any advices or alternatives?

Ahh INTI days. I still remember how the timezone is totally screwed up back then. 6PM - 12AM, not much people around. 12AM - 1AM, dead, nobody around. 1AM-4AM, PARTAY!!!!!!!!!! Everybody comes out for no reasons.

And the network keep on kena hack. My computer kena hack a couple of times too. Plus the horrible internet line... people BT like hell.. yada yada.

Not to mention the tons of china babes there biggrin.gif

That was in Nilai.

Yea, people say that Nilai is for those who want to know what Campus life really is like while Subang is for those who want the night life. In Nilai, you don't have much else other than food, 8-ball pool and your friends =)

Ah i remember the times when i was there in Inti Nilai. It's a very quiet place. But the clubs and societies are rather active i guess. So every now and then you would see some kinda event going on in the Multi Purpose Hall (MPH).

There's quite a lot of restaurants nearby as well. So food should'nt be much of a problem. The popular student spots are the Tomyam shop and the As-Salam shop....

Night life is also quite ok there. You can usually see a lot of students walking about in the middle of the night. You can also find a lot of people playing basketball at night too.

now i am a current student of ICSJ...here are my comment...Inti is cheaper than taylor that is all the benefit i could think of...this semester the college putting us on old block instead of utilizing the old block...dummies, and then what is more funny is that the new building seem to be no class occupying it.....haiz... rclxub.gif since the college do not serve me good, i won't think inti next time when i want to study, even my son i won;t send to inti

Well if you adore campus life, this is the best choice to enroll into. Inti Offers variety of courses here and the environment here is rather laid back rather than fast moving. So, you will feel relax to study here. There's a lot of activities here like tennis court, basketball court, badminton court, you name it , they have most of it i as far as i know.

Ok..it's not so hard to enter Queensland University if you work hard. i'm going there next year Feb tongue.gif ....An average of 60% above for business management and 65% for commerce..for econs, they need to see your past econs result if you have taken one. Since you are a science student , i recommend you to go there or contact the Institution directly, maybe there is an alternative. look for DCMAU head of programme, he will tell you all the details you wished to know.

Sorry to say that there is no Bachelor of commerce major in Economics for Queensland but solely Bachelor of economics. Commerce offers Finance, accounts, business information system. If you want you can also enroll in Bachelor of Bussiness Management major Business Econs.....

welcome bro... yes it will affect your results and average as well...so try not to fail any subjects as some Uni do not accept 1% failure of your subjects like UNSW or ANU...

i not sure about the bachelor of econs...try to seek the head of program...
Or else u can also find an agent to do degree credit transfer for you at SS15 there...it's opposite Taylors college...

Cheers!!

Inti ADP alumni here.
But I studied in Subang campus.
Last time Subang campus looks shabby, but now looks nice.

Good luck staying in Nilai's dorm. Either you gonna cry & bored to death. Every morning when you open you window, you only see ladan kelapa sawit. But good, got fresh air. Free from pollution.

Depends on your results...ANU is not listed but it's still our partner university. However, do prepared yourself as it is difficult to enroll in that Uni. No Grade C or C+ or below of that must appear if u want to take ANU. Go ask the people who is in charge in DCMAU... sometimes info on web are passed info...

It's not as what ur all said that Nilai so quite and boring. There's a lot event at night...which organize by all the clubs, which i found so far the most active college clubs in most of the private college. There were Gathering or some big event held there which u can make more friends.

Just a guess here. Probably starts April 18 till May 3. No study break for ADP. Bloody INTI can only finalize the academic calender after Christmas. WTF?! Anyone wanna join to complain for the slow service? Taylor's gives the academic calender so much far more in advance IINM.

Quote from Inti website : "Being part of the world’s largest global education network will result in INTI students benefiting from global best practices and international exposure." my interpretation is increased internationalism..maybe more foreign students and lecturers, maybe share resources with international unis..maybe more international university choices la.

so far its mostly cosmetic changes. the sao concourse got a much needed facelift and some parts of the college that were previously left abandoned are now being renovated, like the path near INTI Vybes' room. Education wise, nothing much thus far other than a few American students now studying here. and more foreign lecturers too.

I'm currently doing Foundation in Business in INTI. And I'll be doing degrees soon. And here are the 3 options that I can chose to do major in Accounting degrees:

1. INTI-UC Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons)
-study for four years: Year 3, internship for 6months.
- it is Dual Certification byINTI-UC and University of Herfortshire.

2. University of Herfortshire, UK :Bachelor Honours Accounting (3+0)
- 3 years of studying.

3. University of Herfortshire, UK :Bachelor Honours Accounting (Sandwich)
- duration 4 years, Year 1, 2, study only. Yr 3 one-year work placement, Yr 4 continue studying....

Actually I prefer degree that provides me the opportunity of Internship so that I know how to put knowledge into practice in the working world. So this means I have to choose btwn Option 1 or 3. Any suggestions? Any INTI students here who can gv me advice on which degree is better? Or any students studying the degrees can gv some comments? Thank you so much.

* By the way, I heard INTI's ACCA is not very good in terms of its lecturers, is this true?

Hi guys, Im about to continue my studies at INTI UC soon.

Being an International student...what can u guys tell me about the place?

Ive sent my application for University accomodation, but they have yet replied with a confirmation that a room would be available for me.

How are the lectures like?Does lectures last the whole day?

Im starting on the 9th of May...i understand the semesters are 4 months long....so...exactly when will my 1st sem end(cant seem to find the info in the INTI-UC site).

Ive been to KL before...but Ive never been to Nilai, can u guys recomend me any hotels nearest to the University as my friends or family may join me when i go there for a short while.

Thanks

I m planning to transfer to Inti Nilai from Inti Subang during my 1st year degree 3rd sem this coming Sept.

I asked my HoP about the transfer process and she said that there might be a possibility that Inti Nilai would not be offering the subjects that are not matching the subjects I'm suppose to take.

is it true?

It is true that some subject is offered in INTI subang but not in INTI-UC but most of the time, it is the other way round as INTI-UC is the main campus

For the fees, its better for you to consult the marketing staff on your own.
As for hostel, you can't share a room with gals. I am sure this is the basic hostel rules in every college/university all around msia.
However, you can rent an apartment room on your own as that is the only way for you to stay together with your gf.
The apartment is just few steps away from the school.

Am not sure bout law.. But for a level it cost more than 10K for whole course..
Erm... If you mean Hostel.. Theres expensive one cost 2k plus per sem, a very luxurious type to 700 plus per sem depending also whether you choose to stay single room or twin sharing with the same gender.. Single room cost more than sharing one.. And there are guards in front of every block with no curfew. No worries there..
If you wana stay with your gf.. I reckon you stay in apartments nearby.. The price i think you can check in previous posts.. RM 300 to RM700 per month for one unit i think.. With 2 to 3 rooms.. If not mistaken..But just be careful in the apartments.. Its not that safe nowadays..
Overall INTI is a nice place to study.. Easy to reach KL with KTM.. And its not that noisy with allot of distraction.. People are generally nice.. yea..

There are some jobs in the campus.. You can go Job placement office at level 2 to search for it.. Normally its working days and hours only.. The hour of work depends on your timetable.. But normally you wun find the time less you only have one or two subjects per sem..
You can also become a student helper for SAO or any place you can get.. Rm2 to RM3 per hour
Or you can be a floor rep.. RM200 per sem..
Erm, if you really want.. You can also work in a food centre outside INTI at night.. Depending your way of scheduling your timetable.. I have known few who did this.. But they are super good at time management.. And its exhausting.. If can better dun work while study.. Hope it clears abit of your question..

well for one semester, it's rm1250 per subject, rm300 for assessment fee and rm200 for MPW subject. I don't know how is the resource fee calculated though.

you can always consult them, but I can tell you to be prepared to fork out at least rm5k for 3 subs and 6k for 4 subs per semester if you don't have any scholarships..

Ok dr chan is dedicated im agree. But, Mr Chiam oh my god that lecturer is a math teacher that copy notes , i mean math required more practice than notes, and he wasted his team copying on white board. If he could just photostat and let us do exercise it will be far more better

yeah only that part of him i dont really like. He's a very dedicated and thoughtful lecturer nonetheless. U'll find out soon if you're lucky.

Why i said so? Ok, yes his class might not be so interesting and at times, pretty boring too i'd say cos most of the time u'll be moving your hand with your eyes staring at the board, copying his notes. He has his reason to ask u to copy instead of photocopying for u all cos by copying, u'll rmb better (just like Dr chan, but i dint really read his notes too, why did i even copy last time?) And he will start explaining once everyone has finished copying, and any question he will answer u with everything that he knws just like what a lecturer should do. Then, he'll give exercise and tests. His test is damn easy one...and at times he's very lenient in marking unlike u-know-who (another chinese math lecturer). And he even photostated all the past year papers for us for stats (he's my stats lecturer just so u knw) and discuss every single question regardless of whether we are able to solve or not.

And there was once i rmb he self written all the answers for maths paper 3 or 4 (i forgot which paper, its the one with 100% in A2 and there's no answer can be found thru the internet) and he gave it to us to use as reference and without the answers its really very hard to find the answers cos there's NO exact answer in the marking scheme. U can imagine how thoughtful and how kind is he to his students (we're not his maths students actually but still he made the answer to help us prepare better for A2). And he even asked how we did after the stats paper for A2 which was freaking HARD for my time....harder than the previous papers.

And he never scolded me once after so many times of not finishing what he asked to do. haha biggrin.gif

I'm doing form 6 now, i would like to study business in inti after that for degree.
Dont ask me why i study form 6 instead of foundation, cause i want to save the 20k lol.

anyways, when i finish form 6, i would like to study degree in inti, but i would also like to take a 2+1, meaning i spend my last year oversea.

but my question is, what is the difference between this and AUP? ( american degree transfer program?)

if u study form 6 already just go on and take your degree.
if u go AUP is like studying all over again, btw AUP means 1yr here, then go to oversea for the following years, it consume more money.

That's all dependent on where you want to stay. For me, the greatest advantage of staying in hostel is I have no worry if it rains so I will not be holding an umbrella and get myself wet. Moreover, INTI's hostels are not like those apartment units. Although my room is quite small, it is enough for me and is easy to clean up (I don't really get used to staying with others). From what I heard from my friends, staying outside is always cheaper, hostel fee ranges, for a single bedroom with no air-con and bathroom attached, roughly RM325 is needed per month (but you will be asked to pay by a semester after another).

It is better for you to stay in hostel for the first sem, if you find some friends who are willing to seek a unit outside, then only you go. I think this is a safer way plus you know well with the ones who stay with you too.

I finishing A Level this year-end and interested in actuarial science. If I enroll in AUP program, what would be the main difference between going into AUP after A Level and after SPM (in terms of exemptions and length os study)? Can I get exemptions for some Year-1 credits from A Level?

I have no comment on the programme just something in case your not aware of it, 3 year Engineering Degree programmes are not recognized by BEM as the washington accord requires 4 year programmes.
so my comment, go look for a 4 year Degree that's recognized by BEM rather than a 3 year Degree that's not just in case you want to become a Professional Engineer in the future. If your not interested in becoming a professional engineer than go ahead just in my opinion it's better safe than sorry.

sorry。。i dun agree v u..cause 3 years can b a professional engineering too..BEM is not important at all if u plan to go private company..
if u think 4 years is more pro enuff..den u go for master after u took 3+0, the period is almost the same n u get master..

4years n 3years angineering actually wat we learn is same thing..3 years the subs u taking is very pack compare to 4 years..

well I never said anything about the subjects that you learn or that 4 a year degree is better than a 3 year degree or anything like that.I just said that in the eyes of Professional Boards like BEM they don't recognize 3 year degrees that's all unless you got that degree a long time ago before they decided they only want 4 year degrees.

like I said it depends on you. Unless you have a BEM recognized degree,or have a recognized Msc with that degree of yours or passed some kind of test from BEM etc. to be a professional engineer here in Malaysia it's against the law for you to perform professional engineer duties, use any title etc. that might imply you are or describe yourself as a professional engineer etc. among other stuff and these laws apply even if you work in the private sector. You can still perform other Engineering duties though.
Attached File  ACT2007.pdf ( 173.98k ) Number of downloads: 17

Well being a professional engineer is not really that significantly important in other branches of Engineering other than Civil but still in my opinion better safe than sorry and I just posted it to inform you people. You won't believe how many people write to papers etc. crying foul when they find out their 3 years degrees are not recognized by BEM after they graduated, when in the first place they blindly enrolled in the programme without checking and they blame the college counselors for not informing them when they face certain difficulties when they started working when even though you could still blame the counselors those people themselves are also to be blamed themselves. If your sure on what you want to do then go ahead. If your not, better be safe now or any amount of regret and complaining later won't fix anything.

ya..i got u mean..for my opinion i will take 3+0 n apply for the test if i wan to get my cert recognized by BEM..save 1 year..1 year u can gain extra 1 year working experience n u can spend tat 1 year for Master too..not a good idea?
i also jus gav my opinion..bcuz a lot of them will misunderstand tat 3 years will learn lesser than 4 years..

Currently a form 5 student.
Not sure if actuarial science is the right course for me.Should i opt for a-levels or computer science prior to the said course and if so how do i go from there.
From my understanding, transfering will require credit hours ,how do i get that during a levels?
Any co-op programmes offered? It is offered in HELP uni tho.Do point out the pros & cons.
I do hope you are able to influence me into INTI. xD
Inbox me if possible.

Cheers!

dear teddy:
in the mines i think there is a ktm station which can link to the subang jaya ktm station. due to i am not in inti subang so i am not sure what time their bus will got to that station there. but pls bear in mind that the ktm in malaysia is not as accurate as overseas train service. so i think all you need to do is go and check with them see whether they have a bus to the statioin there and wat is the time.

i only can tell you more once you give me the details.
regards.

AUP is great as long as you're certain that US is where you wanna go. I can give no comments about INTI penang, though. And AUP is hardly a pre-U course. Techinically, you'd be under degree. Well, transfer degree. Any questions, feel free to pm me.

im looking to enroll into inti subang, for the course diploma in mechanical engineering.
my STPM result quite ugly, so im gonna use my SPM 2008 cert.
im looking to enroll asap. for the march intake. is it too late?

can someone please quote the total cost of studying that course, as well as the apartment outside.
how much is it monthly? i heard that INTI subang allows to stay at Avenue for 2 semesters only.

wont be too late..as long as u have decided to cont ur study..
i just have IU tuition fees...compare to IntiSJ, IU is much expensive..but the range between this 2 campus wont have much big different..
as IU fees is RM38K+...
i think you can choose to stay at Avenue for the 2 sem 1st...move out only when you have familiar with subang jaya...and meet frens..
that time, you only look for accomodation at outside..

please, dont go around with the purpose of spitting the money in 1/2.........

i know from my sis, who is also in Inti that the money comes from my registration fees directly into your pocket.
you promised 1/2 of 200.........isn't it 500?

if you're trying to help people, do it as honest as possible.......
dont just do it to seek wealth.......

like the answer above from you that suggested me to go directly to Inti and apply........
i appreciate the answer, but what follows after that sentence could well show your true color.

At first I also thought it was 500. Everyone thought it was 500. But I went to ask the counselor already. She told me 200. That's why I dare to say it's 200 lar. I aint a liar. Students will find out from the counselor the money wut. What's the point of me lying to you?? -.- I know Nilai is 500 but from what the counselor told me it's 200 at Subang. So don't say that I'm not honest please. Because I'm telling the truth. I hope you can take back what you said for indirectly saying that I'm not honest. For what I said after that,I'm sorry. I admitted that it's my bad.

Inti Nilai..im doing bachelor EnE engineering ...
now is my last sem d....
overall of teaching methods are good here...may b im lucky?haha!
Lecturers...emmm..most are helpful^.^
If you want to find a perfect teachers in a Uni...i dont think it is possible..
it is depend on how you think? what you expect?
If the lecturer cant meet your expectation, you will feel she/him is not a good lecturer...

Most of the classes are started and ended in even hour...so the time you went (3pm) is the time everyone having classes..

LOLX...the wed site is not official 1 at all...I knew this wed site..
UM is lower than USM = = from official wed site TQS ranking UM is 200+ in world ranking...
ok..at Malaysia we talk about Tier which determine by MQA...Taylors is 5 while Inti is just 4...in 2009
from the result in 2009 Taylors is better than Inti in quality of teaching..
2010 result should coming out very soon if not wrong..
If you have no problem with financial than go to Taylors...But since financial is not the prob..i rather go for Monash or Nottingham..

I've said this before when somebody quoted webometrics.
You're seriously looking at a ranking which is mainly on web presence ^^"

A school's name basically can help you get an interview but when your in the interview it matters less. It will be one of the factor to help decide only if it's absolutely hard to decide between the people that attended the interview which happens not very often.

resource fees is the fee for facilities in the Uni like lab, library, computer lab and also the the sport facilities
assesment fee is the exam paper fee..

For the taylors fees i think you should check again, last time Taylors separate the fees into few parts like resources fee, lab fees, library fee and etc..(lakeside campus)
A level is at subang jaya campus, so dont know will similar like the lakeside campus or not...

i think still available but the amount im not sure...

the first piece is inti's

the second piece is taylor lakeside's

both for ADP. inti's is just much more expensive with less facilities.

ADP is not available in lakeside campus....
this is subang jaya campus..
and from the fee schedule for Taylors, the resouce fees doesnt mention is base on every semester or per year...

lets calculate...
RM585 per credit hour
for winter sem...11 credits mean RM585 x 11 = RM6435
the fees schedule mention RM9775 ....
RM9775 - RM6435 = RM3340
lets say RM3340 is include registration fee - Rm1500
the remaining fee is RM1840..( what is this fee for? )

this is base on my calculation....correct me if wrong...
cause i also confuse with Taylors tuition fees..

It moved to TU,Lakeside in January from TCSJ.
I'm not really sure on it cause ADP fees isn't straight forward like other courses and most of the files I have on Taylor's that I used to keep is back in my old laptop back home in Malaysia ^^" I'll see if I can download the ADP fee structure and try to get my head around how it's calculated when I'm a bit free lol.

I don't know much about the quality but provisional accreditation doesn't mean much really. It's there mainly so that people who enrol in new programmes that is not able to get MQA accreditation yet can apply for PTPTN loans.

do you mean Nilai campus?
yes..it is safe, each block got each security guard, what you need to do is take care for your belonging in your room..
about the hygience, there will have cleaners to help you the corridor and toilets(for sharing toilet)..but sometime dirty are caused by students themselves.
about the distance, the most far hostel away from academic block is about 800m ..everyone is walking to class smile.gif

haha~ i noe it's not a problem.
I'm in the waiting list for the hostel.
but in the 2nd page. They said it's hard to get the rooms u want and might end up in the room which is not attach with bathroom. blink.gif
some even said it's better to stay at outside. N i heard that there's an apartment next to the hostel and they even say that it's better staying outside.
i wonder how to get the contacts of the renters? unsure.gif

ya..the off campus apartment r jus beside the hostel..if full furnish w/o aircod is about 700~800 per house...one house got 3 room, small, middle and master...so roughly about rm300+ include, water, electric and internet..
aircond rm1000~1100

it is actually cheaper than hostel..but hostel is good for newcomers...i been hostel for first 2 year, u can make a lot of frens in the same block..depend on how you social..but when i was in hostel, i knew a lot of frens come from diff course (about 60% ppl from the block) the pathway is "dota" haha! n in hostel is more happening than in apartment..even apartment is near from hostel but most of the ppl when they move out from hostel, they seldom join any club of the Uni d..and dun even noe wat event is having in the Uni ( Inti have a lot of club which keep organizing event, a lot of event is having at night)
i miss my hostel life a lot actually...thinking to move bak but once move out then hard to move back d..you r in 2nd page or waiting list..den may b we r in 3rd or 4th pages d..haha!
so moving out or not is on your choice...
about the AUP course is tough or not...i cant give you a professional opinion here since im the Engineering student here...
dun worry...try to make fren with your classmate, your will nv get behind...
at inti whenever you got prob with your assignment or dun understand about your sub..you are always easy to ask for help from your frens since all Intian are just stay surrounding a small area..

is totally up to you..i just giving my opinion..
because moving out from hostel is easier than moving in to hostel..
you can choose to stay hostel for one sem, after that just find your classmate to share a house..or you dont mind to stay with other ppl

Im EnE from diploma to 2nd year degree (case same goes to mechanical)....diploma taking longer period than foundation..but diploma learnt more than foundation because once you enter diploma you already focus on your major study not like foundation is more general...
Diploma hav strong basic skill than foundation when both entering 2nd year...
so depend on your decision.you wan to save half year or wat..

Whoa I never expect INTI IU to have a thread of their own here, in fact I am an INTI student who left in mid December last year so allow me to give a few words of my own to help sort out some of the confusions.

QUOTE(AP.L @ Mar 20 2011, 11:44 AM)
800m?oh no...it is quite far leh=  =
yes,I'm talking about nilai campus lah(this thread is specially for INTI at the nilai one, isn't it?lol)

there is no shuttle bus or something?
the food at the canteen is NO PORK(I heard it from the counselor of INTI =S)and is it tasty(at least is it acceptable?)?
*
800M is not far at all. To be exact, it's ten minutes walk from Block A-C till the Academic Block, if you take the bridge it would be another five minutes. Just make sure that you didn't forget to bring any stuffs that you should have brought. Coz, you won't like the feeling of running all the way back to your accommodation and then back again.

Food wise, yes, it's a halal campus, even the char siew is made from chicken (which has a weird sensation if you are used to the REAL char siew). What I suggest is if you got the time, why not go outside and eat. Again, it's just a ten minutes walk to a row of shops with about 3-5 outlets for eating.

There are quite a number of them, but not many enough to deploy a platoon of terrorist so NO FEAR. If you're not the absolute hottie and sexy girl kind, they won't bother/disturb you. If you are scared of them (I dunno why you should tho), get a few friends to walk with you to and back from class. They have their own social circle with their own kind. Again, if you stay yourself away from them, they won't disturb you.

Smoking, yes, if you're a guy staying in area Block N onwards. It SHOULD BE a smoke free campus, but then, to them, rules are meant to be broken.

Ground floor, I had the same experience as you. The thing you need to bear is the occassion passing by of students, the foot steps, or worse case, those that walk in group chatting as they walk along.

Another thing is fogging, INTI does fogging from time to time and ground floor (and 1st floor I think) ALWAYS KENA. Be prepared to have the corridor full of white fume and it takes nearly an hour for the fog to dissipate.

Hope that clears off a bit of confusion you are having there. I know how it feels going to a place that you have not been before to study. smile.gif

I'm just pointing out those that happened to me when I stayed in ground floor.

We won't know whether your room will be hot or not since you did not tell us the number of your room. If I'm not wrong the odd numbers are on the right of the corridor, the even ones are on the left.

You don't need to be over concerned one la, take it easy. If there's any problem you can just contact Accommodation Office and they'll do it for you. tongue.gif

I have a question here. Hope you guys can help out.
I receive the offer letter for ADP at INTI for May intake.
They have this enrollment day on 20th of May.
They said i may enrol for ENL 101 + max of 6 credit hours plus 1 compulsory MPW subject or ENL 090 + max of 6 credit hours plus 1 compulsory MPW subject of courses on that day.

What is the MPW subjects?
What do they mean by credit hours?
and What is ENL 101 and ENL 090? What are the difference?

Can anyone help me in this? @@

Ohh~ and about the hostel. I booked for the single room with bathroom but they called and say it's not available. So i'll have to take the one without bathroom attached and ended up at Block G. Is it far? Mine is also at the 1st floor. Is it really that foggy and crowded? I thought there are guards at every block?

*
MPW is Mata Pelajaran Wajib
which is moral education/islamic studies and malaysian studies (correct me if i'm wrong)

not sure abt the credit hour but if i not mistaken MPW wont counted into the final result
if u are malaysian, u are required to take 2 MPW subjects
if u are international student, u are exempted from taking MPW

not sure ADP and hostel since i'm not taking ADP + not IIU student whistling.gif

hi, im planning to take a diploma in mech eng in may. i read on inti website that 50% cavg from diploma gains direct entry into degree year 2, but what is "CAVG"?
i've also read that by taking the B.Eng in Mechanical engineering (collaboration with University of bradfort), we will be awarded the M.Eng upon fulfillment of the stipulated criteria. So my question is how good is the mechanical engineering lectures there?

You mean the sub is not offering at this sem and you wanted to write a appeal letter for it?
you can find your lecturer to discuss...but the most important you have large numbers of students are also willing to take this sub..are you Inti nilai student? how bout you ask through Intionline? definitely Intima will help you...

For the format just follow same with the format you learn b4 in secondary school..formal letter

If you are going to take commerce, they are recomended you to take Australia transfer program since this program can transfer to more Aus Uni then AUP
they wont taking risk by asking you to take AUP to do transfer..

I think that's more because INTI has an Aussie Degree Transfer Programme so the counsellor would say something like that. Other places don't really have something like that, people looking to transfer to Aussie usually go through ADP or credit transfer through a twinning programme.

AUP is not the only path to US to Canada. theres Australian degree transfer program in INTI as well as Australian Matriculation. For Canada, theres a program too (i cant remember the name CIPU or something like that) But of course AUP also can go to US and Canada, but i believe the universities accepting AUP is limited, if im right

Why the counselor still asked you to choose Australia transfer programe if dietetics is not provided?
basically if you take AUP, there will hav no prob to transfer to Australia..
i think you should go and ask clearly from Inti..

I don't think you can't transfer to Aust or NZ with American Deg Transfer. It would be better if you call them ask. Cuz the american and australian education system is very different. Plus I think you'll need foundation to get into physio degree. If you really want to go to aust or nz, try sam or ausmat, its a one yr course. After you finished, you can start your degree in australian/nz unis.

Here's the pathway of ADP.

yes. since it recognized by UK. but you have to take 2 + 2 course.. which means you have to study 2 years in UK..
otherwise you can only get a M'sia degree.. and of course the cost will be different.. biggrin.gif

hoho.. for more info you got to attend their open day.. i went before, it was amazing. i'm really interested in physio too...
unfortunately, i'm not... biggrin.gif just after stpm. i hope i'll get the scholarship for the course.. lecturers majority indians.. one of them with ten years experience. i can't comment whether the lecturers teaching skills good or not since i'm not their student yet..
but for my first impression they're good, for me la. laugh.gif
the first two years will be more assisted by the lecturers, after that we will have to take care ourselves. brows.gif
you can join the class to see whether you really like it or not before you sign up..
erm... for diploma, i can't help as i did not ask for it..

still thinking of it
but some of my seniors and lecturers recommend me go to nilai instead of subang hmm.gif
they said nilai is more into campus life + better environment for studies

how's the facilities in subang? laugh.gif

the fees is quite high (67k ++, subang) compared to here (48k - 50k++, inti college sabah)
but subang one and nilai one only got difference like abt rm500 - rm1000+ (taking UH degree as an example)

u mean the UOW's Bachelor of Commerce?
here only got UH degree programme
business admin and accounting

Me. Though I had trouble signing in for the application.(Signing in for A-Levels) (This one http://www.newinti.edu.my/main/?page_id=905).

1. In number 3. I don't know which I am, IELTS or TOEFL? How do I know my English qualification? I'm just a SPM student by the way.

2. I should leave the "MQA Compulsory Subjects" alone right since I'm just an SPM student?

3. Funding section, I picked "Loan" and typed in PTPTN. Is that the best choice since money is quite tight in my family?

Hi I would like to ask the AUP students, for the subjects you choose in AUP, do you usually choose them during orientation day or before that? And how do you find the AUP course?

Hi gerardz, I suggest you call them instead and maybe mail them your application. I applied through the online application, but I didn't get any reply for about 2 weeks + .

So I called them up last week and asked. Apparently the form online is just to inform them and let them know what subject you're interested in only. The counselor suggested I poslaju the documents needed or email them.

1. If you have not taken IELTS or TOEFL, then I suppose you can use your SPM 1119 qualification.
In your SPM results slip, look for the 1119 / GCE 'O' Lvl result, it should be on the bottom left corner of your SPM results slip.

2. Yeah I guess for that part you can just leave it alone.

3. I'm not sure how to answer this, but if you've already have the loan from PTPTN, then just ticked the box.

Btw, if you don't mind me asking, how did you do for your SPM? Cuz you can try and apply for scholarships. But I think for A-lvl, they only give out schlshp for 3-subjects program.

Thanks for the answer!

My SPM was really really average , as in all of them were Bs and only 2As. So yeah I guess I'll take the loan then.

Also, this kinda pissed me off sleep.gif, they basically ignored you for 2 weeks? Really nice service.

Anyway, what's their e-mail? I'll contact them right after I send the application.

Np, and hhaha yeah gerardz they basically did.

I think you better call the mainline and ask for an admission counselor, not that I don't want to give you the email, cuz I don't think the counselor I was given to was very good. Give them a call k, (+603) 5623 2800. And if you email to their main email address, I think it would take longer time to reach them, cuz of the email loads that goes to their account. So calling them would be the fastest and easiest. =)

Guess, just forget about the schshp. I just found out that the SPM results schshp is minimum 5As.

Hi, can anyone comment on Management & Marketing (4+0) course offered in Inti College Subang Jaya with collaboration with Northwood University?

I got awarded Sun-MAPCU scholarship to pursue this particular course. But I am rather worried because I am required to maintain a relatively high CGPA every semester. Will the marking and assessment be biased? What about lectures?

I am hoping to get enlightened. Thank you. =)

Oh my, never noticed this thread existed. Anyway to thund312, depends where you're staying. If you're at the hostel, then write your Block address on the shipping info. They'll send it directly to your block. Never had anything not reach me during my entire 4 months there, AND I used to shop online for almost everything, mostly hobby related stuff of course, LMAO.

LOLOL, I stayed at block A as well, 3rd floor. Don't use the internet. Just go downstairs, and look at the mail rack outside the common room. Just look at the addresses there, easy. Or, if its something expensive, send it directly to the Student Affairs office, put your name and number as well as room number, then go check the office everyday till u get it. Used to do that for my important documents.

For taxi, go to McD that row and keep walk and you'll see a shelter there at the left hand side.
For bus, you have to go to the opposite of the bus station near sri kl. Then, every bus should lead you to Sunway pyramid, the yellow bus, and all those rapidkl bus.
