This morning around 11am when i finish my work and i turn out from PJ Jalan 243 there is massive roadblock at Federal Highway,front of Mercedes Centre both side,to KL or to Shah Alam.Plenty of 1.5 cc police motor on the road and with a lot of officer with 'bunga' on their shoulder on the operation.Lot of tinted car,lorry and buses was been stoped aside.....

Yeah,it was wroten on the summon that i should attend to the court on march.But i dunt think so they will catch me for only 1 summon lo,since it not a big issue wat...hahaha...i think there is more citizen that have a dozen of summon that havent pay....hehe

is it all saman like this 1? ask u attend court after 1 month from the date you kena saman?

traffic police saman is issued by white uniform traffic cop? or also can be issued by the blue uniform cop?

My friends Gen2 got called in for HIDs and 80% tinting. It's out now. Mine is going in today. Had to change both my rear windows as it's original black glass and rip the tinting off my rear windshield sigh...

its still on tak nak take it out ... lol .. big difference in brightness between the 2 . if still kena caught , will say it came with the car ... .. and may consider getting the headlamp smoked .. cause the chrome is causing the light to reflect here and there ...

Wah, you're really hardcore. Yeah, after using HID, halogen sucks lah.
I don't want to change also, but no choice, so at least change headlamp loh. My fog lamp still remain my 6000k HID. Haha...

ok guys, listen up. This is TSP, as they call me at JPJ. At first I am a bit reluctant to join the forum, but after some persuasion by my son, I thought why not. But I am not 100% ready technically. Anyway, my engineers at the Automotive Engineering Division will be able to clarify everything that need to be clarify.

At this stage I just want to point out that having HID bulb fitted in your car/vehicle is not an offence. What is wrong is when it is retrofit. The offence is Menggubahsuai Kenderaan Tanpa Kebenaran. Meaning to say, SUV which is brought into the country which has been fitted with the HID bulb is alright. As any other car/vehicle, it has to go through PUSPAKOM for inspection before it can be registered. At PUSPAKOM these cars/vehicles will have no problem since Malaysia is a signatory of UNECE, which mean to say, Malaysia must abide with all  the related UNECE regulations. We are keeping abreast with the latest technology. don't worry about that.

On the tinted glass, it is different story altogether. Tinted glass are not allowed. They need to allow 70% light penetration for the front windscreen and the rest should be having 50% light penetration. Only the minister can approve cars/vehicles to have tinted glass. And his considerations  for it,  is if a person is having  certain kind of skin disease (endorse by govt skin  specialist) and also for security reason (police reports as one of the prove, no false police report please). Other that, the King, Head of State, Chief of Armed Forces, IGP and Supreme and High  Court Judges are automatically allowed for their cars to be tinted. Other than that, no no. PUSPAKOM will NEVER pass a car with tinted glass during their inspection.
