It has been like that for years even though company holds a few billion cash in hand and keep on rising.

If they are generous on dividend, the stock price highly will trade much higher than current level.

Anyway, this is about company management board decision, can't say which way is a definite right or wrong decision, as most important part is taking good care of the company.

But I would like to see the company put some dividend policy as a reward for loyal shareholders, like 30-40% of the profit is set aside for the dividend, so if profit goes up, dividend goes up as well unless some circumstances that need to hold cash for acquisition or expansion issue, which is another aspect.

This counter in down trend now, if not support by the host, most probably drop below RM2.70. Unlike Genting Bhd, going hot even those the result of the financial report. The most important point is the future of the GenM after the impact of Gen Sin launching, will it be effect?

My view,
Some impact surely got as Singaporean also one of its major customers as well. Also Genting will no longer the sole casino that punters can go to in this region. Although Singapore could be more expensive to go, but it is much convenience for some just fly there to 'play a few hands', compared need to spend hour(s) to go to the hillside by road

I would say some impact will be felt, but won't be too great.

No longer a sole casino already a huge impact, espeacially the new launching tourism choice for the traveler, if Genting Singapore absorb 30%-50% of the GenM's non-local punters, GenM go HABIS.............

GenM can arrange some free transportation to get visitor from Gen Sin to GenM and vice versa.... so the loser will be golden sand.....

80-85% are malaysians. 75% of the visitors are day trippers.
Almost all of these 75% stays within the klang valley in which travelling up takes only an hour. compare this to sg where it takes 5 hours?

yes, cannibalization would definately happen. but have you thought to what extent? those of you who go genting to gamble, ask yourselves how many times a year would you go to singapore? if you have that sudden itch, you'd go for the nearest 1 right?

yes, ppl just want to try something new and coz of that, they would go to singapore. but how long can it last? i think on the longer run its gonna normalize. for ppl with family, universal studios, of course. but hey, ticket it not cheap. what about hotel stay? its all gonna be in sgd

I thought GenS targetted future main customer will be from Indonesia, since they are so close.......

I think in this case GenM & GenS are targetting different market segments ? GenS location at Singapore would indicate a more international market thus competing against the likes of Macau/Las Vegas ? Meanwhile GenM more for the value-end markets like ASEAN, China & India ? Kinda of like Airasia vs MAS. Sure got some overlap but their target market should be different.

Just a curious quest.. GenM has any direct share position in GenS?

Yup. It is true or SGD2000 for unlimited one year entry on a single casino(Resort or Sands). It may seems expensive but if the Singaporean travel all the way up to Genting, it may incur cost including hotel, transportation and not to mention time. So, although the SGD100 may seem expensive, but, it may be cheap for Singaporean after taking into account all the cost. But the amount of Singaporean in Genting Highland is not big. The bulk of the customer is still from Malaysia. But, Genting Highland may lose out in terms of VIP visitor as the tax rate in Singapore is cheaper compared to Malaysia.

what the sg gov intend to do is to let those ppl that fly into sg to lengthen their stay, thus the IRs. as mentioned before genm 75% from klang valley. its different alltogether. and dont forget, there is one thing that is special about genm, its the weather.
