Maybe it's just me but I don't think Singapore resort would be as successful as Genting. So I don't think it would take away as many tourist away from Genting. Singaporeans will feel the resort in Singapore will be too expensive and will still go to Genting for a holiday. Only real gamblers will play in the casino but they won't stay there and won't spend there other than the casino. (Casino free food)

Unlike Singapore, Genting is a holiday destination not because people can gamble there but because of the cold weather. The gambling is just a bonus. Its an escape for many Malaysians and Singaporeans used to hot weather. Sentosa only has the beach, I think that's about it and it's still hot weather.

lovelylace,

How do you expect us to answer you? If we say 'YES" and the stock sinks, we'll be blamed and you'll cry because your 2k is gone. If we say 'No' and the stock fly, you'll say we are selfish and never tell you to go in. Please lar, these type of decision if you can't make yourself, don't bother asking someone to make it for you. Because no one wants to be responsible for your money since they get nothing out of it.

So stop asking, do your own research and invest confidently. Following people in stock market would only lead to disappointment if you don't understand what is going on.

QUOTE(htt @ Mar 13 2009, 01:24 PM)
With internet apart sometime words can be drift faraway from what they initially mean. Skid have no ill-meaning on his words and sometime we have to exercise tolerance. Let this thing drop... cheers...

But you have to look at your investing horizon and target before jump, because Resort is trading at its low now but Genting is a bit off its low, for trader or TA people they might have different views on that.

Seems I've offended lovelylace and I apologize if I seem to 'ask people fly kite', which I assure you it isn't the case. I just happen to see some posts recently by some new forummers that seem oblivious to the 'game' and after seeing 2 posts on Genting and Resorts thread by lovelylace, I concluded lovelylace might not be aware of the dangers of following the crowd. Thus my seemingly offensive reply was posted, not to deride the person but rather to provoke an awareness of one should have if they want to join the 'game'.

Thanks to htt for my defense and truly I have no ill-intentions other than convincing beginners that learning the 'game' is more important than being in it. Again my apologies to lovelylace. Cheers.

Just a topic i would like to discuss, do you think Genting Malaysia is a good buy? Even if the price drop to $2.40? What are the earnings likely to be after Singapore's IR open...Namely LVS's Casino and Genting Singapore.

How bad will Resort be affected? At what price is fair value after taking all these into account?

Anyone?

Cheeroy will probaby close this thread.

You can ask your question hereat the old thread for the counter previously know as Resorts.

It's just a repeat of the same topic that's all. Cheeroy normally try to keep a tidy forum.
