how do we check whether our E1762 is lock or unlock?
*
put other SIM cards, from digi/celcom/umobile. Locked modem wont let u use the modem/dashboard software.

QUOTE(arroyos @ Mar 31 2010, 03:19 PM)
i think the connection speed depends on the peak / non peak hour also.

i did before get around 2.5mbps at 2-3am compare to like 200kbps during 8-9pm.
*

the jackpot question is: how many stay up until 2-3am just to use broadband? biggrin.gif

average usage time is 8am-->11pm. 11pm-->8am are those "hantu malam" whistling.gif

correct. there's no plan that can fit nicely to each users here.

each user will need to manage their usage and "forecast" their average usage.

to begin using any services, subscribe the lowest. this is to gauge services and performance during the first few months.

If u feel u need more data volume, then upgrade to higher plans or buy more quota.

1) upgrade to higher plans = recommended after u know how much volume u use monthly.

2) buy more quota = only on certain months u need more volume than your average. <-- if u keep buying quota every month, then upgrade to higher plans.

Turns out it's not the bundled software that launch the Maxis website upon getting connected. I tried using third party software (http://mwconn.m.i24.cc/index.html) and the Maxis website still get launched after getting connected.

The modem perhaps? Need to flash it?

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Apr 4 2010, 09:35 PM)
The maxis web page will always be launched. Can't do anything to prevent that.
Just ignore it will do. Now the web page provide news for people to read. So it is a good page to visit too.  smile.gif
*
use the AT command to disable the internal flash (aka Virtual CD).

dont use the maxis dashboard. use a generic version.

Yep, under the terms and condition I saw that.
He will give you a full refund from it.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Don't call me sifu la  blush.gif

But I heard that the upfront is non-refundable.  hmm.gif
And but still, 7 days satisfitation.  icon_rolleyes.gif
RM 48 x 12 = 480 + 48 + 48 = RM 576 (included everything)
*
refund within 7-days, FULL refund including the upfront payment of RM150 (for the modem and must be returned too).

think this way: 3g wireless broadband as "bonus/complementary" service to your Streamyx.

wow..cant wait for my area...but situating next to each other is kinda awkward..i mean let's say after u ask at Maxis store, then u go 2 u-mobile...the maxis people will look at u withy those shitty look....then if later u decide that maxis offer is better,u go back to them to subscribe, they give u some shitty talk... tongue.gif  tongue.gif

get different promoter i guess...  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
quite unprofessional for maxis to talk shit of other ISPs

if their service is so good, they dont have to.

turn off the internal flash storage (virtual CD) altogether. Google the AT command to do that.

as i mentioned last time, the autolaunch ties to the dashboard software, not the firmware itself.

use a generic dashboard ... from @karheng maybe?
