If you use more than 3GB of data (Total Download & Upload), your speed will be capped to 64kbps  thumbup.gif

Anyways, from my experience, Maxis only records your data usage when you log in to the MaxisBB account page. But if you do get capped to 64kbps, let us know  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
erk, when login?hmm..

QUOTE(zHo3 @ Mar 22 2009, 01:59 AM)

check your modem page. if everything's normal (hspi, rscp) then it could be that your area network is congested.
*
speaking of the modem page, it seems like my modem is the old one. doesnt has it. any other methods to view those things?

which old one? ZTE MF600? that white thing that could be use to be thrown at dog?
*
yeah, the white boxy thing. and it's the older version that only can view what signal im on (e.g HSDPA, UMTS) and no signal strength viewer. sad.gif

impossible. i just subscribed 3 days ago and barely downloaded anything!
omg. any idea anybody? shall i call maxis?
*
nah, they will just ask you to reset the modem, try putting to WCDMA then GPRS, disconnect blabla.

QUOTE(cracksys @ Mar 24 2009, 08:49 AM)
that sucks. but firmware update should solve that, shouldn't it?
*
updated already, but still like that sad.gif

Should be the same with all the others. 3GB.

I'm seriously considering hopping to Maxis 3G... doh.gif
*
So Maxis 3G package has no bandwidth capping?

what do i need to do in order to get that package from my current wireless advanced package?terminate and apply new one?or have some serious talk at the helpline? hmm.gif

and, applying to that package means that i'll have to give the boring ZTE modem back to them right?

this question is quite straightforward. you dont need our advise,  smile.gif

btw, my wireless ZTE modem is waiting to be sent back to maxis center after 6 months of pleasure and 1 year 6 months of hardship using it.

Hi Inzider,

Just because your broadband connection goes up and down doesn't mean it has made your life miserable. As long as you know how to appreciate technology provided to you and if you compare 15 years ago with dialup and waiting for ages to load a single image , this is far better bro..

Change your perception, survey the correct channel and decide. Do not discourage anyone to not supports any Malaysian made products. Well, Singtel has better broadband service (i heard). Can you afford , well im afraid it will cost you fortune..
*
can't compare it like that.

technology is moving fast. people around us are moving fast too. just compare HSBB. s'pore has been doing it for a while, indons are enjoying HSBB already at cheaper rate, and we? TM just want to implement it and moving at slow pace.

as for wireless broadband, as far as i'm concerned, i'm sick with Maxis wireless after having it for 2 years already. the service deteriorates too much. (2 years ago I can torrent at 150kBps any time and enjoy latency under 150ms almost every time). that's why i personally opt for Celcom broadband, but Celcom is not good either, just that it's slightly better than Maxis.

why u do so?  shocking.gif

been using that bloody white ZTE modem for 2 years+ and the only time i was satisfied with its service is during the 1st 6 months where they didnt apply the 3GB FUP yet.

after apply FUP, no matter when i used the modem, the speed is slow. even though it's the 1st day of the another bill month. (meaning usually they'll reset the 3GB right?)

finally i sent my Maxis Wireless ZTE MF600 modem back to Maxis.

thank you Maxis wireless, for all the 25% joy (1st 6 months using it) and the 75% pain (after the 6th month, till yesterday).

i shall remember u as the worst wireless broadband that i ever had.

lols?
I think depend on location..
btw, only rapidshare got problem...
when I download using megaupload I can get 240kbps biggrin.gif
*
nope not location dependant it seems for my case. more like they 'marked' my acc already for heavy download. lol.

1st 6months, i can dl anything i like with speed nearly 200kBps, and happily playing online games too because latency is quite low.

after they enforced the FUP, things get awry until 1 1/2 year, and after fedup using maxis wireless, i opt for celcom and it's way better.

even the CS girl said "pakai wireless lagi ke? celcom ye?" laugh.gif

Yeah, i think i was categories by maxis as heavy user, average 10GB permonth. Speed was capped at o.o6mb/s (speedtest).  rclxub.gif
*
same here. 6~7kBps every month with no reset.
