Don't ever hope at all. Wireless don't give constant speed as fix line. Unless your fix line speed suck. TMnut line?

Well, I m using maxis wired BB. So much better than wireless. So no reason for me to take this wireless package.
*
no, using maxis bb but speedtest gives constant speed of 1.7 or 1.8. i know wireless don't give constant speed but by the reading i got, the lowest i got is still above that, although occasionally less than 1.0

Speedtest won't tell you is your speed is constant. It only tell you what speed you have at there max. I don't test in this way.

Only by real time browsing and dl will tell you if your speed is constant.

i remember i read somewhere in T&C that this FOC modem promotion is only 1 modem per account. But just check and see, no harm.
On the other hand...Maxis is on trial of 15Mbps HSPA+

i see some people able to get upload speed at 340kbps, but some only able to get 40kbps.
last week i was in Kuantan and able to get 356kbps upload speed.
but now i am in another city and the upload speed is less than 50kbps! rclxub.gif although the download speed is >1.6Mbps.
wondering why is there a big different!
50kbps is just a little bit faster than the old dialup modem speed.
It takes a long time to upload files.
(note: i upload files to webhosting company webspace).

its the network that our modem use...
if u see you are connected to HSDPA your upload usually below 100kbps
if u see you are connected to HSPA your upload speed usually 150-1000kbps

some places maxis has already upgrade to HSPA.
another diff is the ping time... HSPA usually 70-100ms while HSDPA usually 120-300ms

My HSPA upload mostly stuck at around 0.05Mbps (50kbps). And i don't think HSPA or HSDPA has anything to do with ping latency.

i've recently got an option icon 431 modem.. i thought it would help on the upload side, but several days using it.. it's consistently at 56kbps on maxis' hsdpa!!

my signal(@pj) is at excellent and i really thought a hsupa usb stick can do better. the modem is rated at 2.0mbps upload(upgradeable to 5.76mbps)

the download side is reasonable.. 2.2-2.3mbps (not burst, but a stable download of files).

i'm impressed with some of your netspeed test.. but do you get such speed over consistent download, like over rapidshare/megaupload? 16mbps is like supersonic!!
