my case is ...

since february only can connected to their gprs mode ... called maxis they said need to wait 14 weeks from 2009 ... mad.gif

meaning that on 13th april then they only can solved/upgraded their system ... mad.gif

@#!$%$$#@$%^  mad.gif

from feb until now i cannot use at all ...

asked for waive charges, they said need to wait until problem solved then they only can calculate how much or how many months can rebate/waive back to me ...  mad.gif

so now every month i'm paying for nothing  vmad.gif

what happen to maxis.. from monday my connection always disconnect and the Rssi LED start to blinking.. before this it was ok...
*
hahahaha....my connection still okay but down a bit...from 3.3Mbps to 2.8Mbps...
For those experiencing slow connection, just use other web browser than IE(sucks than ever) like firefox....

But i recommend you'all use K-Meleon (a Firefox side-project) the fast and reliable web browser...even gprs speed can load yahoo's page for 15sec

QUOTE(amiranna @ Apr 13 2009, 08:24 PM)
may i know how can set my network to UMTS only?

Because i notice when my signal UMTS, i can get speed around 200-300kbs.

But when my network go to HSDPA, my speed will be slow around 50-100kbs only..
*
Ok..........connect the modem to computer...run a web browser first and go to speedtest.net and run speed test...
if your HSDPA is slow, disconnect and connect again and again then run again the speed test until you statisfied the speed...

Just a simple, same like me first i connect the speed around 130kbps but after i reconnect many times, the speed become 2.9Mbps..

Added on April 14, 2009, 12:08 pmsorry i didnt find to set connection to UTMS because it Auto 3G connection detection...

QUOTE(WjLye @ Apr 16 2009, 12:56 AM)
After reading so many thread i still couldn't make up my mind which wireless ISP i should go for.
It's seems like Streamyx get a more stable service ? But Streamyx wireless ? Is it like Streamyx plan using USB plug-in modem or wat ? I dun really understand the wireless connection thing. I mean, Maxis use Huawei's USB thing, is it all wireless ISP use the USB modem to connect to service ?
I'm personally a streamyx fix line broadband user, from Kluang johor. On 512kbps(i know it's slow) plan , any my download speed really really sucks. I dunno whether it's capped or wat ? But highest speed i ever get is 56kbps on http or p2p download. That's the fastest i could ever get. And to mention abt P2P, is it barred or banned by ISP ? i mean, if i use BitComet or Free Download Manager or Flashget, the speed will be like 1-2kbps(Yes, 1-2 kbps), only xunlei gives me faster speed, sumthing like 20-30kbps after sometime, highest 40kbps++.
So...i really need some advide on which wireless ISP i should go for as i'm going to study in KL soon. Hmm..anyone knows the best service to be used in Cyber area ?
*
Better dont go for Streamass//......go to Jaring or Maxis is far more better than streamass...Before im using maxis and jaring...i go for stramass...i take for 4Mbps package...then what i get from the ISP.....connection lost frequently, AVERAGE download speed 1.2Mbps...WTF...waste money.....wired go to JARING and MAXIS, Wireless go to Maxis....

Maxis really stable and reliable....here the speedtest for today...

Guys, i need help with the HSDPA huawei e220 3G modem.
Usually, the program is plug and play, but when i try to run on a netbook, which has a maximum resolution of 1024x576, it can't run with the reason of : didn't meet the minimum requirement resolution of 800x600.
I read the manuals, yeah, u must have a 800x600 or above to run the software driver. So, any other suggestion to run it on the netbook?
*
Im using Fujitsu Tablet PC 6" screen wide... but it run very well in my tablet PC... you can set in display setting in control panel using virtual screen resolution....Actually the requirement not effect anything... whistling.gif

I just subscribed maxis broadband last week.
RM88 per month for maxis phone user.

Satisfy with the speed, no disconnection. smile.gif

I used celcom and umobile b4, maxis beats all of them!

For new subscriber, remember to turn on your windows firewall. When I first install the modem with my firewall off, my antivirus detected rootkit virus trying to modify pc boot execute! But the rootkit virus is blocked, once I turn on the firewall.
*
Yeah youre right.....maxis beat all of them...i never got d.c at all....anyway the Moble Connect.exe apps was program to on the firewall or else it will never connected...but my anti-virus(Avast! Pro 4.8) never detect it as a rootkit....

QUOTE(lms2005 @ Apr 19 2009, 12:12 PM)
possible there is spyware inside ur pc which try download something to modify ur boot sector
*
If spyware download something, the anti-virus must block the packets...because download without user permission...

QUOTE(8kelvin @ Apr 19 2009, 01:15 PM)
But it still exist, even I already used many tools to scan (including boot scan) my pc and clean out the the suspicion files.
*
Get the right solution using avast! anti-virus...it has boot scan....meaning scaning without running an OS first...

QUOTE(8kelvin @ Apr 19 2009, 09:21 PM)
I actually used avast! boot scan to scan the whole hard disk, no spyware or virus found.

But if my pc's firewall is off, my pc always receive rootkit virus whenever i use maxis broadband to connect internet (yes, maxis connect still can connect internet when firewall is off). And this wont happened if I connect internet using celcom, umobile or streamyx.
*
Thats weird!!??? Ok try to uninstall that apps then reinstall the maxis apps using CD given....maybe can solve or else...
