another movie that shouldnt be watched at cinema

the only and only good in this movie is watching T-bag, people laughed and clapped when he showed up as the colonel

T-Bag was doing pretty good, a very good actor he is, but he still has the PB T-Bag element in him in this movie, lol! Colonel Cole Pfeifer!

I was joyed to see robert kneppler on the cast list and he did well as the colonel on this movie, even better if his cursed words were not censored

However the movie sucked

Watched this movie last friday. Well, its true most of the forumers said here. The story lacked depth and any good interpretation of the story. I do wonder if they did justice to the original movie, or is the original sucked just the same.

Personally, I feel keanu reeves did a decent job depicting an alien. I mean he is the only actor in Hollywood who is good as acting like a wood. The female character is just good for ooggling....nothing much to expect from her. My favourite scene was when Klaatu met with the professor and discussed about the impending doom on earth. I mean that kinda opened my eye about life. IT does has some kind of truth to it.

Ending was dissapointing though. In all, it failed to impress most of us about the message. I'd probably would like to see what happens after the onslaught. Or perhaps what klaatu brings to the galactic meeting.

Oh yes, its funny I watched both The Day The Earth Stood Still and Transporter 3 and have Robert Knepper in both movies. If you guys are a fan of him, you should watch transporter 3 where he is Mr. Johnson (mr. bad guy).

lol i was expecting something better from this movie

I like the scene too and i wished it was longer but i can't remember the dialogue between them. All i can remember was, sorta like alien also the same.. blaa blaa, give humans some time to learn.. bla blaa..

Sucky movie, dont watch ;p

The storyline is good, but something is missing in the show. Lack of special effects, lack of depth, lack of suspense, and everything was done in a rush.

The boy was really irritating and it beats me why they did not replace him with a teenage daughter or something. and having a black boy to a white mother does not really reflect the 'reality' in the USA today. It reminds me of that irritating brat in War of the Worlds.

Nice try to inject some 'family' values into the show, but I feel it's misplaced, inappropriate, overdone, and irrelevant in the scifi genre.

The story is too short, ending kinda predicted similar to Fantastic 4: Silver Surfer, effect quite nice, T-Bag was nice ^^...

I like the argument between the professor and the alien about the human race...

i wonder why they always like to portrait aliens as no idea in relationship/feeling. aliens are so advance in tech, mean they will have a sophisticated brain also wat... themselve should have those kind of feeling as well..
