The storyline is good, but something is missing in the show. Lack of special effects, lack of depth, lack of suspense, and everything was done in a rush.

The boy was really irritating and it beats me why they did not replace him with a teenage daughter or something. and having a black boy to a white mother does not really reflect the 'reality' in the USA today. It reminds me of that irritating brat in War of the Worlds.

Nice try to inject some 'family' values into the show, but I feel it's misplaced, inappropriate, overdone, and irrelevant in the scifi genre.
