i slept thru the whole movie...really sux

I had a (-_____-) expression after I saw the ending of War of the Worlds.

For this movie, my expression was a WTF??!!!

Seriously, anyone consider going to the cinema to watch this movie - I really really REALLY don't recommend them to go.

Gort's purpose totally messed up in this version...

Haven't watch this movie yet. The title seems a bit of unrelated with the film. When I look at the title, i thought the movie is about the doomsday. Never thought it is about alien invasion until i saw the promo poster.

it going to be d doomsday but 'we' manage to stop it...

Actually, US did almost all work protecting this planet. They the one who launched rocket to destroy comet headed for earth.

albeit the fact that there aren't any action packed moves or romantic feelings in the movie(i know...added two in spells boredom) but i think that it's quite 'futuristic' and it highlights the very important problem of mother earth....but i guess most would just take it as an entertainment and wouldn't take it seriously lor even when they are trying to educate ppl.

But how about pollution in their country? They destroying our planet and at the same time protecting our planet?

Funny how a superior race (the aliens) with advanced technology and even more superior community couldnt figure out that the humans too had the capacity to change when faced with certain doom. Similar predicament to Klatu's race.

This is movie is quite anti-action, the best bit for me was when the gigantic robot initially appreared and was about to unleash hell, but instead was ordered to chill. Such anti climax!

not bad actually. a 7/10. predicted ending buttt quite a good moral of the story. hehe.

alto keanu reeves quite "wood" in this show... very emotionless and speaks so little...

lol'ed when tey speak mandarin and the part where the "metal insects" tapao the truck and the guy inside...haha.

Just bought a DVD and watch this movie (i have been missed out all the movie for the past 20 years because of me workholic)
This movie doesn't sound logic.

If the Aliens want to come to earth
1) They should first contact earth leader by radio, this will avoid mis-understanding fire shotting.
2) Discuss with Earth leader about the damage that human have done to Earth. Not simply come to earth and say "You human have done too much damage to Earth, to save Earth we have to kill you all."
3) Provide help to human on how to solve the environment problem.
