OK, I need some clarification cos what I understand is very different.

I have a Maybank trading account and the remiser told me for me to buy any share I need to have about half of the cash in the account.  For example, 10lots of Counter A cost RM5,000 then I need to put in about RM2,500 before I can buy.  Of course during the T3+1 I don't have to cough up the remaining RM2,500.  So the question is do I need to put in RM54K (or RM27K) for alivecmh's earlier transaction?  Put aside all potential loses, gains, processing fees, just simple calculation.

Check your account status how much margin they are giving. Normally it depends on how much value you have in your premier account (cash and share value). You can buy shares with cash value or trading value (margin). After 3+1 days, if you not settled, bank will give you a friendly call to top up your account or ask you to sell.

Added on April 2, 2008, 8:44 pmPM denies rumours that he will quit

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has brushed aside speculation that he would step down as Prime Minister.

Bernama reported that the Prime Minister reiterated that he would not run away from his responsibilities.

"I am here. I am here. I am here. They make all the speculations that I want to run away, I've resigned.[SIZE=7] Why should I resign?"

"My Government has got a strong majority (although) not the twothirds (majority), but very strong...that is the stand of support."

"Why I must run away from my entrusted responsibility," he was quoted by Bernama as saying, after meeting Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said at his office here Wednesday.

Speculation on the matter had been rife in the wake of calls by his predecessor Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, that Abdullah should step down for the Barisan Nasional's poor showing in the March 8 general election.

The BN lost its two-thirds majority in Parliament, winning only 140 of the 222 parliamentary while the Opposition captured 82 seats.

BN also lost control of Penang, Perak, Selangor and Kedah and the majority of seats in the Federal territory besides failing to wrest Kelantan from PAS.

No wonder our market panicked doh.gif vmad.gif Nonetheless, rumours always turn out to be the truth in Boleh Land
