They ignored my email complaining about those misterious "customizations" I think a software used by millions should be more transparent. ph34r.gif

That's not possible, a driver update won't change the quality of the sound, except a few bugs..like 2 years ago Realtek HD Audio has clipping issue when you start a playback, and then they fixed it. That's all i think the major change of Realtek HD Audio driver.

hello guys, i downloaded the driver and plan to update the sound driver but it fails what causes this ? anybody experienced it before ? installation fail =_=

Make sure you sound card is listed as supported

Realtek HD Audio Driver support all of Realtek HD Audio Codec .

Yeap i'm using ALC883 on board sound card but it says installation failed half way =_= anybody can help ?

What is the error message?
btw ...are you using windows vista? I have read similar problems about the installation fail and problems with 2.20, try back to 2.19.
